Our windows, built in 1891, have thin brass banding instead of chain or rope. The sheath has flat bottoms like the chain pulleys. Have you ever seen this type of banding? We can't figure out where to get it from.
My windows used to have those common sense pulleys, which I found only removing the replacement vinyl windows and seeing the mortised shape in the jamb. I had a helluva time finding antique pulleys to go back in there because I didn’t know what they were called. 😂 Wish I’d seen this video months ago!
