Truly messed up to force them to do that ducking rape scene! Neither one of them wanted to do it and the show would have been just as good without it. SMH

Friends is the show that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. They weren't just friends, they were a family. They thought me that the real word sucks but with your friends with you it'll be easier. CHANDLER, MONICA, RACHEL, ROSS, JOEY and PHOEBE thought me that love is important, but that friendship is the most important thing in the world ❤
I love this song and I love Spuffy. I also get how the lyrics kinda' match with what Spike said about burning and consuming... but that was in the scene where he tried to rape her. Because Spike is a fictional character we can buy that he did the right thing and fought for his soul. Also, in Season 7 he shows undeniable remorse for trying to rape her. It's not that we should deny that Spike tried to rape Buffy, but it is painful and confusing to see the rape scene included in a love song. Attempted rape isn't romantic and it shouldn't be thrown in the mix without noting that rape (no matter how much he loved her) is always wrong.
I always considered the fact that they show Buffy successfully defending herself as proof that the creators were making the point that rape is wrong--which is why I understand that it bothered you here where her successful defense is basically omitted in editing.
