Most organisations’ IT departments don’t give this a second thought. You’re forced to enter your password for every login / authentication thanks to their lack of concern. Thankfully, we can all use group policy (gpedit) to change this
Thanks, we cover some of that in the free MS-Graph training we did earlier this year. The recording is available here: academy.viamonstra.com/courses/mini-course-intune-automation-using-microsoft-graph / Johan
I have followed the simple installation steps, but Ig get the term install-maesterTests is not regonised. is there something I need to download? or do you have to set some path variables after the first 2 commands?
You're doing God's work. MDT is still so useful and important, but I couldn't imagine there's anyone at Microsoft who was keen to take over maintenance of a VBScript project. Bravo
Holy smokes this blew my mind thank you! Dumb question but is the intune profile the same as autopilot? Or rather can the autopilot profile json be injected or imported this way?
@ViaMonstraOnlineAcademy I have now a similar prosses for my vm and I use it for the same process. I don't need this question answered anymore thank you for trying to help anyways
Still didn't work for me as I place all as required. Still came up empty on report. Back to drawing board. I'm needing to run this report because of the BlackLotus exploit for TPM verification.
What's the recommended length of time for the intune clean-up rule? Was going to do 180 days...but thought 90 is fine as well since we use that in our on-prem AD to disable devices.
That depends on your company policies, but the minimum value of 90 days is quite aggressive. Most companies I work with have it between 120 - 180 days. / Johan
Should we do both? Have been using co-mgmt for a while, would the gpo be used to bring in devices witb none/broken client? Thinking of a modern client health scenario of enrolling with gpo, then using a remediation to get the client back on and working.
It's one of those lovely "it depends", for some orgs it makes total sense to been in a co-managed state, some still needs Hybrid, and some can go to Entra ID / Intune only. / Johan
Consider making it available as well instead of required. The people who install it are usually the ones easier to work with if a problem occurs 😂. Sometimes, they don't say anything at all which keeps the desk sane, but we can still see a report of failures and fix them.
I am sure they said the same things about W11, too 😂. Anyhow, the best deployment strategy of major upgrades usually involves testing your own food for a month or two. Most but not all of IT for another couple of months. Send out surveys using Ms Forms. Adjust and fix. Usually, it means updating apps or removing apps or drivers before deploying 11. Deploy to 10% of prod aka uat at 20% a week for a month. Be prepared to pull the asap. Fix any issues or exclude those with issues and move on the prod in waves. Bigger way every week until you hit a major stag of computers that can not be excluded. Emaling FAQs and having leaders actually answer questions during large meetings about 11 will greatly reduce calls to the desks. Just make sure they know what they are talking about 😂.
@@ViaMonstraOnlineAcademy The Quality updates blade. Rather than only have created one profile to deploy an Update and then modifying the dropdown each new release every time. My Profiles were created each month of a release and then a new Profile was created without modifying or removing the previous one.
Hi guys, would it be possible to share the links to the mentioned blog posts in the information section of the video? It seems rather empty right now 😅 Thanks in advance and like always good stuff with these Office Hours videos! Keep it up guys, I love to watch these videos every week!
I have literally hundreds of task sequences, and many contain custom code that needs to be generalized before any publication. Was there a specific task sequence you were interested in? / Johan
Hi , did you say there is a recording for advanced bios and management that was held this morning? Could you please point me to the link when I can watch it .
