No, the black strips with the smaller strips sewn in behind them in the edges. It's like a reinforced edge gusset? Not sure what to call it, but I like it!
@@NMiller_ The edges are reinforced that way and also makes them sharper so they keep their shape. We used this method for the Mimic as well but to a smaller extent
Good twilight, one question arose in the process, how did you process the skin cut for the black elements? And how did the bottom behave as a result of long wearing?
There isn't a video tutorial as it would have been 2 hours long. We've included an assembly diagram which if you want I can send to you beforehand and which should save you time. PM me on Etsy if you wish to take a look
@@Joshua-Mason Very likely, without any assembly guidelines. Some places needed water casing, others had a very tricky way of being attached. It's not the case with this project and the exploded view should suffice. As always, I'm ready to guide you myself if you get stuck so please let me know if you run intro trouble
Bought the pattern immediately, the bag looks so great. Goddamn that’s a speed run on the video. Don’t forget guys, we don’t just want to “watch” you guys make one; we’re trying to learn it ourselves too.
How much leather does this require? I need to know before I buy the pattern if I can afford the amount of leather it takes and what is the largest piece that will need to be cut from one piece of leather so I know how big of sheets to get. Thank you
The largest parts are 80 x 17 cm and there are two of them. The whole project should take about half a square meter of leather but I strongly advise getting more of it just to be sure.
If yall made like a pdf for a snake, that would be awesome! Edit: it would be even cooler if it was something like we could incorporate into other things like straps, handles, even just lanyards
