Absolutely fabulous what some extremely helpful DIY people upload to RU-vid. I got MF 135 Perkins myself. Extremely helpful and highly valued videos. Easily the best small two wheel drive tractor to this day. Extremely durable and reliable and about as easy to repair and service as can be. Pretty much all parts available at reasonable prices. Most sold tractor model on planet earth. Pretty much identical (6+2 gearbox) to 35, except direct injection head and diff lock. True gem. Price only goes up. So, THANK YOU and your kin (Bundy Bears Shed etc.).
I'm hoping to get the wheel off mine to do this job. I have been living with it for over 20 years with a vertical play that must be about 3mm. I have ordered a puller that is heavy enough to be kill or cure and have been feeding the taper with plusgass and heat on a daily basis for a couple of weeks. Even though the wheel is very tatty and almost down to the metal frame all over I want to avoid using a new one if I can. Edited to update. The puller turned up and 10 minutes later the wheel was off. £60 well spent! Followed your scheme on adjustment and I reckon the play in the box is now less than in the track rod ends so I'm happy. Thanks!
Daz Most of them never had the oil changed My family had a major and I would say back end no oil change for like 40 years Fun fact in Australia most of the wheel seals leaked ,they worked them a lot harder, once met an old bloke and he told me that the wee Fergie that we were looking at had done over 10;000 hours in like 3 years Big paddocks here
Thank you Daz brilliant Worked on them 50 years ago In lovely Laois , and now trying to work out the Brakes on a TEF Diesel here in Western Australia Never had a lot of trouble with the brakes on the TVO we had in ireland, but this one is giving me the proverbial as Drums and shoes ok but can’t yet get a brake on the main pedal Thanks again going to keep watching and might reinitiate the old brain
You are very welcome. Check out the 1957 Ferguson 35 Playlist on my channel too and you will see more videos on the brakes. I think there should be a video on the brakes on the TEF 20 in the 1954 Ferguson 20 TEF playlist too! I'm a Kildare man living in Galway!
trop de gens ne savent pas ni ne connaisse le décompresseur sur ce Ferguson diesel comme il ne savent pas s'en servir ////////////////////////////////////////////pourtant simple au démarrage !même principe sur les tronçonneuses _________________________________
I have a TEF with a original front loader, and not the dinky one, but reinforced with the dump mechanism still on it 😁 Don't know why they fitted it to this tractor, since it can't really lift much 🤣
Correct. I have another one in my home place that has two. The thing is the new fuel pipe I fitted didn't stretch to the second filter so I left it off. I plan on getting that sorted though!
Hello sir, i have the same tractor Massey Ferguson 35 same mask and motor, from an unknown year of production. It is imported and i want to know how much kilowatts is it? There aren't any marks, thank you.
@@dazsden The easy way to tell if it's a 35x or a 35 is to look at the placard on the CAV injector pump. The maximum RPM is the last of the three figures on the second line. With a 35x this will be 2390 and the power output is indeed 44.5hp. If it's a 35 the placard will have something like 2140 and the power will be 39.6hp.
@dazsden OK the charging light make sense. Apparently, a diff. lock was an optional extra on the 35X, so some didn't have one as explained here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9Kx2DrRWfo0.htmlsi=y_VBfj8Y_T_CF0nl
Ha! I enjoy the work so there's always something going on in the shed! Check out the series on my 1957 Ferguson 35 Gold Belly with petrol/paraffin engine! ru-vid.com/group/PLCzDTB9ml7ru8Oq7ifSPjj3EAdi4TXfP1&si=57m-5ONOVNz0VfX1
A few people mentioned that. I'm not sure exactly how to do that! When I watch them they seem to look the same as any other video I watch! Any ideas how to sort it?
hello Daz , great work as always , im following your series step by step , just wondering if you know is it possible to get replacement " adjuster window flaps " for the rear of the backing plate ? both of mine are rusted out and i cant seem to find any replacements online .
Hi! I have never seen a set for sale. I would make up a set out of a flat piece of sheet metal and bend it and drill it or find a second hand brake backing plate (I had to throw one out from this tractor) and drill out the rivet and use the part! Thanks for the kind words. I see I'm subscribed to your channel!
Push on the axle!)😂 sorry it looks a bit fanny from a side but you’re a good man so keep going, please and don’t pay attention to the c.nts Just for a crack and hopefully somebody else will see the video
Hi Thomas! Thanks a million for the feedback! I really appreciate it and hope you keep enjoying the videos. I'm really enjoying working on this 35X! Have a look through the 1957 Ferguson 35 Gold Belly playlist too as a lot of those videos will help with your 35X.
I have to watch your Ferguson 35 series some day from cover to cover every episode. My dad have had that tractor for longer that I have lived and some day it needs to get much love and be overhauled. Please never take down these videos even if there are not many viewers. They are valuable to someone someday in very big way. Thanks for your services.
Many years ago, some 55 plus years, my old Dad had a mate who was employed as a Groundsman of a playing field and lived on site with family in the provided house. Anyway, the mate had a MK2 zodiac automatic and was taking his family on holiday to Cornwall. To reduce the cost of fuel, he filled the petrol tank with TVO plus took 4 Jerry cans of it in the boot of the over crowded car. One day he phoned my dad asking why does his car not go up the steep hills of the old roads back then. LOL. My Dad did laugh, telling him to mix TVO with the then 5-star petrol. -The memories of TVO have remained ever since. Oh the mate blew his engine up on the way home after his holiday.
Ha! That's a brilliant story! I have heard very similar around here too where lads would have to get out of the car and push it up hills!! All to save a few pound! At the very least the spark plugs would be rotten trying to burn the tvo!
Hi! Love your TEF. I have a TEF and a TEA myself. I am going to remove the aux dieseltank, and can see you have done the same. Did you just put a bolt in the upper rear hole in the tank, where the return line goes? Also fine to go with just one dieselfilter?😃 Greetings from Norway!!
Yes, I fitted a bolt into the hole in the back of the diesel tank where the pipe goes to the auxiliary fuel tank. I have an auxiliary fuel tank here and will fit it but I will be blocking the pipe going to it as I believe they can cause air to enter the fuel system. I want to fit it to have it looking right. The reason why I only have one fuel filter is the new fuel pipe from the fuel primer pump up to the filter is too short to reach the second filter. It runs fine with one filter !
