Nice video, but it´s be very nice if you could not grab into a fish´s gills when you want to realease him anyway. And throwing a fish into the water might harm his organs, especially it´s sideline sensors..without them, a fish has a hard time to find food. Just saying. Going to Iceland in a couple of weeks & it´d be nice to catch a little something.
Dear fisherman. The first place you was fishing on brigde - what kind of fish you can catch in there? I'm living not far that place. For me its getting boring catch just cod and places. I'm trying to fing other kind of fish like big wolffish...
@Rap Charts I've been there but they only sell basic rods and a few spinners, I didn't see any bait for sale. But no problem as I've decided to stick to lure fishing for cod now and I'll be stocking up on gear when I pop back over to the UK for a few days. Cheers anyway 👍
Tony Saunders go to your local bónus and buy something called “Reykt Síld” it’s the best bait I’ve ever used just remember to hook the piece of herring through the skin first and the meat second
nice fishing at that place in Reykjavik ,its the best place around the area and that incudes Keflavik which is good but not as consistent as the place you are at,the biggest cod ive seen come out of there was 17lb cod, haddock, whiting, wolffish, dab plaice, flounder, starry ray, coley, long rough dab, are some of the fish ive caught there best time being april for lots of cod, good vid well done.
Nicholas Sparkes Thank you for your kind comments, It’s certainly worth taking a 3 day trip for. Although we did the ring road over 2 weeks on this trip.
thank you very much! you think that the 14-40g is too light for iceland? i might also go there this summer and i might try to fish also in fresh waters (not salmons ahah)
Hi there, I was using tinsel to bag a cod which I did, however it was deep hooked somehow so I ended up using that as bait bits. The bait of choice is saury or bluey as we know is here.
