Well, this is a little strange. I was watching another video on sigils, this video was not listed in the stream, but popped up right in the middle of the one I was watching. Never one to deny an offering, here i am. Pulled a card from the tarot deck sitting next to me and the world card come up. i was just forming a statement and you addressed something that struck me. I believe JBP is a closet gnostic, specifically following in Jung's practice of equating Abraxas with the Demiurge. You get hints of it constantly in his work. He's been hiding it in plain sight for years but the pressure of the others at the Daily Wire to commit to a more mainstream Christian interpretation is relentless.
This was great. I love how Camelia approaches reading the tarot with a Zan mindset. The influences that the gypsy's attitude about language in reading tarot was also interesting.
Thanks so much for this. I’m part way through your book, partly because I’m researching archaeology through an animist epistemology, and partly because a friend told me to get it. I particularly like what you say about geology being younger than humans. This is continually true. We’re embedded in war it processes. Archaeology is in fact the process of undoing geological succession, even if it is covering a site barely 50 years old. I hope to keep connecting to your thoughts and words. Very helpful, insightful and collaborative, in the enmeshed ecological truth of that description!
The best video I have ever watched on Sigil Magick. I have read countless articles, purchased books and watch loads of videos but I have never come away so with so many useful tips for me to have a proper go at it. I feel like I have been stumbling around knowing only half truths and your video has completed the puzzle for me. 🙏
I'm not sure why you're referencing Neville because his approach has no need for sigils as there is no lust for result to overcome e.g. "If you assume that you are what you want to be your desire is fulfilled, and, in fulfillment, all longing is neutralized."
Modern liberalism had previously been underpinned by a Christian morality and ethics. Now that the Christian G-d has been killed off by modernity and liberal rationality~ the Pandora's box of the transvaluation of all values has been flung open. In a relative world, Individuals now have the freedom to choose their own values, and these values are based on an individual's personal experience, nor should they impinge on another’s personal value system, they are relative to the individual and no longer have an absolute transcendent basis and absolute universal authority; everyone is exercising their own godhood. In a valueless value system, when all values are reduced to self referential normative values, the destruction of all value occurs. Embedded within metaphysical nihilism is the destruction of higher values and the opposition to the affirmation of life which is existentially nihilistic. The main means of such destruction relies upon the apotheosis of negation and contradiction. From this negative ontology arises the following : at the core of every thought and every being there is a contradiction. From contradiction there is passage neither to reality, nor to God, here Atheism reigns supreme. In a relative world the only universal measure of value that remains is power. Will to power is the basis of society. Post modernism has levelled and reordered all values; moral, and epistemological relativism act in concert in a self referential manner where man can be pictured metaphorically like the ancient symbol of the Ouroboros; a dragon, standing in a symbiotic relationship with himself continually devouring himself from within. The ideological nihilism of post modernity only serves to strengthen the relationship between those in power and those who determine its values in a valueless world. A hierarchy of established truths are created by the elites who act independently of those in political power. Freedom of speech is the freedom to think. Political correctness is the abrogation of that freedom. Concentrations of power over speech are monopolies of power over the people. The scientific method is an expression and extension of that power which enforces and encodes the power and interests of the hidden elites. The scientific method’s “democracy” of knowledge is highly centralised and censored. Empirical rigour is filtered through the straight jacket narrative that exists to preserve and ensure that the power dynamic remains consistent with the prevailing power structure.There is an intrinsic hierarchy to information embedded in society that is controlled and censured by institutions which are in turn peddled and parroted by an expert class who are part of a larger complex that makes up that system and who give legitimacy to that system by virtue of their expertise. Max Stirner wrote preceding Nietzsche in regards to nihilism, the work of the Enlightenment, is the vanquishing of God: they did not notice that man has killed God in order to become now - 'sole God on high'" The Universe is moral. You reap what you sow, more than you so later than you sow.
I'm so happy he's not about numerology! I just encountered the term synchromysticism yesterday and thought to myself "this is the word for what I've been practicing and unable to explain to people" alongside neopaganism (it's what led me to neopagansim). After some research, I came across the book by this guy, but was worried it would be all numerology and other forms of what they're calling "forcing" in the video. I used to say that I found something "on the path," now I can say I'm experiencing a bit of synchromysticism.
