THIS CHANNEL IS ALL ABOUT VETERANS SHARING THEIR FIRST HAND ACCOUNTS OF COMBAT & LIFE.
I've been talking to veterans about their lives for a series of reports called THE PRICE OF FREEDOM for NewsChannel 9 & Fox Chattanooga, the ABC & FOX affiliates in Chattanooga, Tennessee since 2013. I love telling and sharing these stories.
My goal is to post a new video here every week by Thursday at 5PM Eastern. If I get them ready earlier I may post them as they are ready to go. I will roll out new Shorts several times each week.
Here is a quick bio:
Josh Roe, TV news anchor & reporter NewsChannel 9, WTVC, Chattanooga, Tennessee - My reporting focuses on veterans but I also report on sports, politics, entrepreneurship, and general news assignments.
Before my TV news career I served in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1991-1999.

Man, only if he knew he could have brought an AK back home since Vietnam bring back transferable Kalashnikov rifles are worth a lot of money now. His SKS is probably still worth something for being a bring back if he still has the paperwork laying around, but unfortunately not as much as the AK since it’s just a semi automatic rifle that has many like it circulating in this country already

A man who had been refused compensation due to exposure to radioactivity by the VA and another by frostbite of his hands in Korea were both friends of mine

" I was young and I'd think ain't nothing gonna happen to me" We all did....and hopefully still do. *SALUTE* To The Greatest Generation, because they were just that, and so, so much more.
@@Julie-rh1qe try english. If yo're good enough to be here then you're good enough to help defend the ground you're now on. Its a gift to you so either defend it or, find somewhere else to be. I make no exceptions for anyone. ZERO. go that part kiddo?
The greatest generation for sure and I wish we had more like them now. But those days are gone forever and America is on the ropes and is going to die one day and it’s a damn shame
I've never heard a single person say that WWI began in 1917. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914 is the widely accepted tipping point of the first world war.
When you learn about aoperation gomorah, or the fates of the 6 million German peaseants forced to immigrate into conquered Russia. what the Russians did to those old women and little children was beyond any horror film. Ive seen footage showing fields ofbabies and elderly woman as the adults even women had left to fight and work. Fields of infants with their dresses up around their shoulders, hips splayed and broken from the mass rape by these animals. skulls bashed in with their brains falling out to save a bulolet...MILLIONS died that way. For waht, we allies ourselves with the soviets to stop a slauighter, while standing by and evengiving equipment to them so stalin could start his reign of tertor with resulted in the minimum of 50 million dead. Makes no sense.
Our government forced it - we embargoed their oil supply - pretty sure there was a reason our main carriers were out of port when that happened.. needed something to change the public’s opinion 😔
Oh great, just what the US needs right now, more disinformation about people overanalysing situations and jumping to irrational conclusions. Its like saying, oh the US obviously started WW1 by assassinating Archduke Ferdinand since they benefited financially from the war significantly.
I know I have E B Sledge’s book and I believe the old breed. I got the books that the hbo series “the pacific” was based on. It’s been a decade since I’ve read them but I’ve watched the series recently. Great series done by Tom hanks. There’s a lot of great stories that Hollywood could make masterpieces with and that would help pass the legacy of the greatest generation

Those things all look awfully clean and tidy, which is amazing, really, after all that they’ve been through. I’m also amazed at how he managed to bring so much of it home after the war, that’s next-level sneaky.
9-11 was in my opinion WORSE but neither the MIC nor the american people changed the way they act on the world stage at all... Guess more ❤ache is in store...
