Don’t tell me how to talk to my son. That’s my son I’m talking too. Go and look at his fight on my instagram page and you’ll see a proud Dad praising his son. I’m a passionate coach that’s how I talk to every single fighter I train. And im a father figure to them all. I help them outside the gym and this why I can talk to them like this. It’s called tough love.
@@pestcreeper274 that’s just how boxing is bro, it’s a dangerous sport, there is so sunshine and rainbows, u have to be tough, the positivity comes when u have finally achieved what u have come to do in the sport
That's the problem in boxing everybody wanna play coach or act like they have the science down you can't play mma or pretend yo be muay thai instructor
If he truly wants to be World Champion in boxing, which I highly doubt because Cruiserweight contenders would turn him into a sleep deprived toddler, he needs to stop fight MMA fighters and get in the ring with better boxers and not Spaghetti cans. At 10-1, boxers level up their opponents and challenge themselves... Jake has never done that in his "career".
I 💯 agree with you on the current weight Jake was at vs Perry, he was technical but sloppy at times. He shouldn't of put all that weight on just to drop it. If he he looked like this vs Perry on fight night, he'll look worse vs Mike Tyson on fight night, that weight could be his downfall 4 that fight. Jake should definitely stop fighting these mma guys and should start fighting boxers his size, proper below average level cruiserweights, & I know Jake's team can find those type of guys there's tons of em out there. Good vid. So his new head trainer is Theo Chambers, his S&S coach is Larry Wade, J'leon love is still there. Don't you wanna see him fight someone at a similar level to see if he's made the actual improvements instead of fighting someone levels above Tommy? Don't make sense.
Yes I do wanna see him against his own level but the only reason I said someone slightly better than Tommy is because he talks like he can beat top level boxers. His mouth puts him in these situations where people wanna see him fight a real fighter.
@@thedaleyeffect Hopefully he'll fight some boxer next year unless the Tyson fight just gets canceled indefinitely which is highly possible as Mike is pretty older now & the body is much more easier to break so we'll see. Love your work!
Glad I wasn't the only one that loved Jake's technique during the Gib fight, that's what happens when a world level boxer like Shane Mosley coaches you. He seemed very calm, cool, smart and collected during that fight. Picking his shots right, moved his feet where he needed to, counters at the right time, and not rushing for a KO. Whereas now he kind of looks very messy, unorthodox at some times, and is always looking and rushing for a KO, not picking his shot selections right and being patient like he did in the Gib fight
-Jake was training with shane mosley for gib. - Silva who just beat Julio Chavez Jr a year before his jake paul fight… is he a boxer or no? Also wasn’t 101 gohd - the tommy fury fight, jake paul didn’t get to train all the way, had to train in dubai didn’t have access to all his equipment, was sick, drained and yeahh. still didn’t do too bad that night.
What do you think about the different colored gloves he always wears? I’ve always thought it was meant to throw off the opponent on what’s coming at them.
love hearing your opinions on these topics and appreciate the videos. I know your schedule is quite booked but would love if you started a podcast with the ocassional guest to talk boxing or just made these style of videos more often.
Not if he wants to continue making money. The Tommy Fury already demonstrated that Jake struggles against actual boxers in his weight class. Everything I’ve seen since the Tommy Fury suggests this is still the case.
@@leytonwalker1190 I'll tell you right now if Jake Paul and Tommy Fury fight right now it would be a tough fight but Jake would win, if Jake Paul polishes up on his defense not only Will he win but Tommy will be in for a rude awakening. If you look at their last fight on the eye level or from the stats, yes tommy fury dominated the fight as a whole, but round to round it was close, closer than it should be. This was a Jake Paul at his worst in efficiency and output and Tommy Fury at his best, and You'd be lying to yourself if you say that Jake Paul hasn't improved on the basics and his overall offense(jab, controlled combinations, shot variety, footwork, etc) since his fight with Tommy Fury and nate diaz.
I think Jake gets too much criticism because people expect him to fight world class fighters for some reason but then I do think his time fighting ex mma fighters should be up now he’s proven he can beat people like that it’s boring now tbh
no one expects him to fight world class fighters, he cherry picks opponents who don’t box or who are retired. he’d be getting a lot more respect if he fought a boxer, not a retired one, not a MMA fighter, not a basketball player and especially not a senior citizen.
his punch mechanics are all off. all arm punches. feet arent planted, even just for the second that he lands. i get its pad work but how he practices is how he will fight. and punching like a bitch in training will translate to punching like bitch in a fight. anyone who says any bullshit...ill meet this mutha fucka at 147 any fuckin sunday before or after church. and go to work the next day.
I gotta be honest, first time I saw......... Thought it was a draw...... Second time...... Same. Then I watched it in slower motion and realized, a lot of the big body punches Haney landed (not all of them) were hitting lomas elbow but it didn't appear that way because loma moves his whole body to soften the impact and keep it from landing. Also, Haney will land a single shot every 15 20 seconds. "A lot of them not really landing) then Lomachenko would have a few spurts of combinations. Which when watching live I didn't think landed. When I watched it slow, I realized that loma was throwing at least 6 to 8 punches a combination. And would land 4, 3 sometimes 5 or 6. And after a few short bursts including his tricky jabs catching Haney on the way in, which were also hard to see. He out landed Haney in rounds that I initially gave Haney. Also I felt like Loma controlled the ring more. He dictated the pace and movement and was more physical....... I have Loma winning because of this. But honestly feel like a draw would be the most accurate. But I don't feel as if it was a robbery to give it to Haney because it was that close and he was the champ
Ryan is definitely gonna be a aggressive puncher and not pure boxer imo there’s only so much boxing you can learn in a year with a new trainer who you only fought one fight with and in that fight you didn’t listen to him
Great work. The art of jab brought me to your video. One thing I’ll like to point out is the small shield and sword movement might be better for blocking while attacking.
