@@Defender_928 I've bought inverters that are £1000 and some that were £250 you just need to find reviews that are reliable and trustworthy. I've sold all my victron inverters took a profit and bought cheaper hybrid inverters that have been brilliant so far.
@@sun-sea-solar have a shop around for one of the super handy plug in mics. They're like £20 and it gives you a clip on mic that's so much better than the built in mic. I think the extra views will make it worth getting.
@@sun-sea-solar There are loads of these on the net - This one is £12.99 on amazon - Wireless Lavalier 2 Microphone 2.4GHz 2 in 1 Portable Mini Clip-On Microphone Wireless Recording Live Stream Vlogs Microphone Compatible with Android Samsung type- C Dual and Apple Lightning 8 Pin Cheap and cheerful but better than the mic on the phone. Just plug in the wireless receiver - use the wireless transmitter so you can still be recording your voice. Works a treat
@@Angelalivingaquietlife that's really nice. I'll be completely honest been brilliant up until yesterday the broke. So I've purchased a dual tray air fryer
They are very hard to get online. But you have to make sure you put in the exact details from your router name and password. Upper and lower case. Plus I couldn't do it on one of my android phones. So I used another one and it worked fine
@@sun-sea-solar I understand, thanks. I now remembered about my old Wifi Ptz camera. It also didn't want to work due to the specific problem was in router ssid and Wifi characters and special symbols name. Simple SSID and pass can help. I'll try it. P. S. what app version do you use?
Greetings. Are you connecting the Inverter to the grid - to provide power when the solar/batteries are depleted? If so, have you looked at the potential problem that you have with: 2 Neutral Earth bonds within your system (during failover to grid power). I believe that the Victron will dynamically remove the Neutral Earth Bond during failover to grid. Having 2 N-E bonds is often quoted as a safety risk during an equipment problem (Live to Earth connection fault). Cheers Martin
The one you’re talking about is that the 24 V or the 48v so what does the other one do now? what worries me with these inverters is going on fire because the house insurance wouldn’t pay out because it hasn’t been installed by a qualified electrician so you end up with no house and no money. so I was going to put mine in the shed down the garden solar panels will be on that shed and just run cable to the house so if it did go on fire all the batteries explode or whatever it would be far enough away from the house if you leave in the house, do you switch it all off?
This one is the 24v version. Even if you were worried about the inverter performance just using the mppt is cheaper than any victron mppt of a similar size
@frankpl9 3 giorni fa Hi, I wanted to ask you for info on the parameters of the Epever6415an controller. What voltage of BOOST , FLOAT , MAX CHARGE VOLTAGE enter ? The manufacturer only declares the charge value at 58.40 v which is high by many users. Thank you very much.
CAUTION: Don't PUSH LVYUAN 3500 WATT OVER 3000, AND LVYUAN 3000 OVER 2500. OTHERWISE IT WILL OVER HEAT. AND NOT LAST LONG. It's A CHINIES NOT USA INVERTER. 🙂 IF YOU USE THESE INVERTERS AT 75%, THEY WILL LAST MANY YEARS + GIVE YOU 97 - 98 % EFFIENCY AT 75% OF TOTAL RATED CAPACITY OF THESE INVERTERS.
I have edecoa em-252a 3000w 24 v my 2 battery 12v 100ah And my solar panel 105w Everything connect 👍 But my solar panel didn't charge the battery why...? could someone help me..!
I think the biggest problem here with the staining is that the water is not running/draining off, the panels look completely flat. If you had the panels slightly raised on one side the water would not only run off but the rain would actually wash and rinse the panels. You can see that the rain drops have dried in situ. I noticed on Will's video the other day that he used bricks on one side to slightly raise the panels lol
I've just finished wiring my 4 Longi panels, and I was surprised to see 500watts coming in with no Sun at all and it was raining. These panels seem pretty awesome!. The Sun came out for a few minutes and the wattage went up to 1000watts. I'm looking forward to a proper sunny day.
Hi, so what's going on with that staining issue, did you get that sorted? How's the system running and how are Longi panels doing on cloudy or wet days?. I picked up my 4 Longi panels yesterday, but haven't put them on the roof yet, i hope they are going to be good panels. Are you going to buy any more?
ohh wished id seen you video before i ordered a 24v version, do you know the best place to get wi fi dongle? are the fans on all the time or when under load?
Thinking of doing the same thing as I’m sure I ruined the battery trying to jumpstart a ford ranger but do you use the same 15V plug or different for this battery?
Did you see the comment I left earlier for solar fuse mc4 connectors? it's gone or I can't see it. It must be RU-vid AI because I mentioned the website where to buy lol.
Good morning, well I am glad all is okay and I hope your panels are not damaged. I watched a video by Will Prowse about how important it is to use proper Copper cable and proper connections and also learned that there are cheap dangerous Aluminium solar cable on Ebay and Amazon. So I'm going to try and get good quality cable and not take any risks with joints and insulation tape, you were fortunate not to have had a big problem come from that, I appreciate you uploading a video to show the risks, but I also hope you take more care of yourself, family and of course your new system. I know what it's like when you get something new and it's easy to make the mistake of cutting corners to try and get everything up and running. Look forward to the next video you mentioned, all the best 🙂 Off-grid Solar Buyer's Guide: DC Wire and Connectors ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Mb0LQ19DEaI.html
Just wait until the drones spot the solar panels and start taxing you ... Am I a cynic ... no. Just been around long enough to know the signs. Enjoy it while you can.
Turns out DC House are in fact rebranded Ecoworthy, but with better bms to try and junk the poor reputation ecoworthy have earned themselves. These DC House ones look good on a strip down, well made and an improvement on ecoworthy's previous offerings!!
It's all a bit trial and error with these hybrid Inverters. They all have their quirts. Some settings are not in the manual. Not even a definitive answer to what solar in put is allowed. But it handles 4000 watt loads with ease. So one bonus point
@@ATI331 very good. As long as you don't mind the constant water stains . But I can clean my regular but if they were on a house roof I think it would look a bit untidy
Congrats on the 800 subs mate, thousand subs incoming! I got the 24v 4.5kw version with 150amp mppt on offer for £269.99 which is a damn good deal for what it is and it runs well once I did your earth/neutral bond, can’t even get a pure sine wave inverter on its own for that price
Cheers. They are not bad units. Working well for the price, just a bit loud. The fans would be better if they came on less. I would be interested in what the fans are like on the 24v version
@@sun-sea-solar okay, thanks. I'd like a closer look at how you've wired and connected the panels to your roof. Don't worry about what it looks like, it's working that's the main thing 🙂
They both have a stand by mode. The edecoa is a bit strange because when eco mode is activated it won't switch the AC current back on . The Anenji I haven't tested it because the house is running from it so a load is always on
Do you know if you can obtain a replacement motor for this bike, mine is in need of replacement and Swifty are useless as they keep referring me to another company which tells that they do not deal with Swifty or provide spares.
Hi...Preston calling Just found your channel this morning...I have the same panels that were fitted in January and funnily enough, they have the same staining...They seem to be working OK though... Not quite as diy as your system, 3 bed terrace just outside Preston, Lancs....10 roof mounted 430w HiMo6 panels and a Sunsynk 3.6kw ECCO Inverter...I sourced the inverter from Bimble Solar ( fantastic company)and got a local installer to supply and fit the panels, wire in the Sunsynk an do all the G98 crap for feed in. I'm totally diy ing the battery including the box, my 16 x 280ah cells arrived from China last week and all being well, it'll be up and running next week. Total cost for the 14kwh battery will be circa £1500 when it's all done and dusted. Total system cost circa £6400... Total bill for April inc gas, elec+standing charge came to £18, that was including £55 for feed in and no battery...Reckon I'll be golden once the battery is done. Looking forward to watching the rest of your content and good to find another diy'er.
Nice system. I'll be checking out bimble solar. The staining is very strange. Even my old poly crystalline panels had no issues with the glass. Good that you were able to source the equipment yourself.
@@sun-sea-solar Morning Bud and Cheers...Bimble are fantastic tbh...I've done a few panel installs on American RV's and always got my panels from them....Decided to go with them for the inverter and all the sundry stuff I needed...They've been great, always happy to offer advice as well... I just watched the SmartESS vid you posted, having trouble getting my head around the "PN number" though...Tried all the numbers / letters on my gateway and nothing works.....Hmmm
@@kennyrodg the app is really awkward to setup. I've done it twice with different Inverters. In the end I had to use a different phone. Then it works fine. Does the QR code on the WiFi dongle not scan ? Thanks for sub 👍
@@sun-sea-solar My pleasure....Gonna take a trip up to the attic and try to scan it....Was trying a manual input from the gateway address in my Sunsynk app....I'll report back once I'm up and running
@@kennyrodg sounds good. I'm actually replacing one of my inverters. Old one is just too loud. Fans sound like I've got spitfire in my house. The new one comes with a Wi-Fi adapter. So I'll try and do another video
I agree, grid tie system sucks! A waste of good solar electrons. Just my opinion. I Thank God solar energy from the Sun can't be monitised and monopolized by any 1 institution.
