Hey brother, thanks for the video helping out more than four years later! I’m gonna get dad‘s old El Camino sled running with an HD turbo Hydro 400 that had a fixed yoke on it.
What is the tire is Michelin pilot sport cup2 with no stretch at all. .i try this and its hard as a rock , specially the side wall. Not even me add my weight with my knees will the side pop in
All of your videos are great….you do a really outstanding job of going through the details that are pertinent to someone that hasn’t accomplished the task before. Thanks for sharing!
If you are removing the oring the deep center bore before the splines shouldnt mean anything?..also can you just weld a cap in the old original? I stead of buying a new yoke
I love how you converted your living room into a tire shop. I've been procrastinating installing new tires on my Hijet Japanese mini truck until warmer weather in the spring but now I'm rethinking that decision. 😀 3:40 - "We don't care about the underside." Until there's a slow leak where the bead doesn't quite seal. 😲 5:30 - I don't think I'd want my balzack on top of a tire when the bead seats. It can be very violent. I'm a fan of your minimal tool git-R-done attitude but I'm not sure that using screwdrivers slowly will prevent aluminum rims from being slowly scratched.
Using screwdrivers may damage the tire bead . Ken Tool manufacturers well engineered tire tools . Akron , Ohio Made in America since 1920 . Nice people to deal with ! I am glad you mentioned lubricating the inside of the second area to be installed . Murphy’s Tire Soap works well !
For pussies who still run this have a side wall, it’s fine. For those of us who have joined the modern age, this bears absolutely no relevance. We don’t have all kinds of sidewall to move around. The brand of tire should let any potential viewer know what kind of tip this is.
