Awesome catches. Both are very unusual. BNSF on NS mainline tracks I've watched those tracks for years and to even catch a BNSF or CXS on those is rare indeed
They generally run south through Irondale to Birmingham in the morning but it varies day to day. Unfortunately I believe the day I recorded this is the last time the Ex-SP tunnel motor ran to Birmingham and it has been out of service for several months now. I've heard it is likely not going to be repaired either.
This train runs Monday through Friday and occasionally on weekends as needed. Unfortunately the ex Southern Pacific tunnel motor is rarely on it anymore. In fact the day I filmed this was the first time in months it had been on it and the next day it was off of it and to my knowledge it hasn’t been back on it since then.
