Looking back on this is wild......less than a year later, I'd be living in Hollywood. Time is wild. Thank you for being the best teacher ever, Mr McKosky. The Enygma of a Student - Bryce/Baxter/Wren/Phenix.

Re: the segment at 30:38: Different points of view are good, but you must be factual. In “Palestine and Israel: A Different Point of View,” you include false information. Issa’s claim that the first Intifada started when “a group of Palestinian workers were intentionally run over by an Israeli bus” is both inflammatory and categorically false. In fact, the first Intifada started when an Israeli truck and a Palestinian station wagon collided. Four Palestinian workers were killed, ten were wounded, and Palestinians took to the streets in retaliation. (See www.history.com/this-day-in-history/intifada-begins-on-gaza-strip) If you are going to include single sources, who accuse Israel of “a cold blooded act,” you have a responsibility to check them for accuracy. Israelis have a right to be represented fairly and honestly. Secondly, pre-1948, Israel was called “Palestine.” That is correct. But “Palestine” was short for “British Mandate Palestine.” It was not a Palestinian nation. It was a British Mandate-almost like a colony - where Jews and Arabs lived side by side. In 1948, the United Nations voted to partition British Mandate Palestine into two independent states, one Jewish and one Arab. The Jews accepted the partition plan and declared the Jewish State of Israel. The Arabs rejected the plan, declared war on Israel, and told their people to flee. THAT is the primary reason that they became refugees. Others became refugees because every war results in people losing their homes. EVERY. WAR. Next: you show footage of soldiers at 34:07. Those are not Israeli soldiers. So if you are suggesting that they are, you are engaging in deliberate misrepresentation. I hope that was not your intention. At 35:54, you have a Palestinian gentleman accusing Israel of “stealing” land. Again, I refer you to the 1948 United Nations Partition Plan. Look it up. Finally, if you are going to create a video on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, don’t you think you should present the perspective of some Israelis? You don’t include a single one. These corrections are intended in the best spirit of education- to disseminate only accurate information.
“Palestine and Israel” was not a documentary. It was political propaganda that portrayed Israel in a negative light and the Palestinians as innocent victims, offering no opposing viewpoints. More concerning, it was factually and historically inaccurate. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is complex and multi-faceted and cannot be portrayed within a simplistic “good guys- bad guys” narrative. It certainly can’t be portrayed without the voices of Israelis. I hope you will consider editing the film.
it’s funny because A. both of you completely missed the point of this documentary and clearly didn’t watch it B. this documentary was targeted specifically for your demographic and C. you are crying over a high school documentary project 🤷🏻♂️
Clearly you missed the whole point of the documentary. It is based on the point of view of Palestine and what they go through because that's what the maker wanted it to be. If you want Israel point just open any other channel or media source. The plan that you are talking about which Israel signed but broke and still stealing land every minute. Taking occupied homes and destroying them to turn them into colonies. So, educate yourself first then go find someone that have authority to complain to about it, Not to a high school student. It is also purely facts that are lived and not watched, those speakers you mention as you can see they live over there and have lived through those situations and under every day struggles. Finally, you are being a drama queen commenting hate on a high school project.
