Thank you for the tutorial! It greatly helped me navigate this whole process. After countless hours, I've figured out what seems like a simpler way for the initial payment and transfer if you or anyone else is curious. This is in the case that you have a shopping cart data type, which holds your products field, and is itself itself as a field in your user data type. Create a repeating group of type "Grouping" with the data source: current user's shopping cart: grouped by seller. Set field 1 to group by as seller, and type of grouping as exact. In your pay now button workflow, set the first action to "charge the current user" - just like in this video. Set your name email, and description inputs as you'd like and set amount to "current user's shopping cart: each item's total price: sum." Add the second action "transfer to seller." Set the amount "current user's shopping cart: filtered(Seller = RepeatingGroup's List of Groupings: Item #1's Seller)'s Total Price:sum * 0.9 (or your fee of choice). Set destination seller to "RepeatingGroup Seller's List of Groupings: Each Item's Seller: Item #1." Lastly, set Source Charge ID to "Result of Step 1 (...)'s Charge ID." Copy and paste the second action however many times you want. Change the fields to reference seller x, and set an only when to "RepeatingGroup Sellers List of Groupings: count > x" - this way they will run only when there are multiple dealers. This workflow can drastically reduce the workflow and gain efficiency, removing the need for custom states, and having only two action types necessary. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. One last thing that I struggled with, make sure your user's privacy has social networks enabled, this way Bubble can communicate with Stripe as to which seller account is associated with what seller ID.
Great video(!) thank you! Few things i wanted to ask: 1. What's the best way to let users add all the events to be sync with their calendars? meaning, i dont want that the user will click "sync to my calendar" for each event but the default will be to sync any task or not to sync at all. 2. Do you think that if the user ask to always sync his google colander, should i use a "refresh token" every time the user is login (of course with the condition - only if current time is smaller then exp token time) 3.Is there any way to know what type of guides and content do you have in Wise College? or i must purchase in order to see the content?
Hey @amit Great questions. In terms of material, wise.college has all the bubble editors for all the videos on my youtube channel. Additionally, the wise college subscription allows anyone to post questions and I'll respond in a thread and in some cases send a loom. As an example - recently I had a thread on how to display live google calendar events by month into the native bubble calendar plugin. the community is new so there's not many active members which means I'll be answering all your questions personally :)
I wrote a long comment that was deleted--I'm guessing because I accidentally included a link--but to summarize: The disadvantages to Bubble are some of the reasons I'm strongly considering becoming a Bubble developer. People who have already created websites with Bubble and feel locked into it might want to hire a freelancer for short projects to fix problems with their websites. The challenges intrigue me.
How did u use the webhooks from Google, if any event changes in your calendar you listen to it in bubble for particular event changes or amy new event created or any event deleted from calendar
I watched all you videos, great work, I do have a question about the refresh token, I noticed that you call for the refresh token when needed, (when a button is clicked, and an event need to be on google calender) but what if I just want to view my calendar in my bubble app? how to keep it refreshed?
Hey love the video, i have a question, How can i view on my bubble app all the events scheduled for a certain week or day,is there any specific API call for that?
Long story short I applied online after contracting, doing the airdev bootcamp, finishing a freelance project and a personal project.I was a long journey haha. If you're interested, I'm happy to talk through it more in depth and give more personalized advice on the new community platform www.wise.college/
I appreciate the pros and cons. Personally, I am working on developing my first web app. I have no coding or programming knowledge. I simply want to build out my idea. From what I have seen so far, Bubble will allow me to do that. Perhaps I will change that in the future but for now I am dedicating myself to learning as much as I can. Also, the pricing is intimidating, but it is a hell of a lot cheaper than hiring a software engineer to help me build this.
Yeah for sure much cheaper! You've got the right mindset! If you ever want personalized advice/debugging help/guidance etc. I just launched a paid community where I'll be available to help www.wise.college/
Hi! I have option set of categories: music, sport, art. I also have an option called "all categories". Is it possible to somehow include all the categories into this one? So when I select all categories , both music sport, and art are selected in a repeating group?
I presume you're setting a state with the selected options. In that case when the "all categories" cell in the repeating group is clicked I would set a condition on the workflow that will select all the options. Happy to help you more with this with screenshots etc on www.wise.college/
Awesome. Can you please tell me here or create a video what you think could be a route for someone who wants to develop his own bubble app? Not someone who wants to be a bubble developer as was the case in this video. Really appreciate
This video is very helpful to folks that have lost their way in the work field. Thanks for putting yourself out there. I will share this video with a couple people that have the SAME life situation as you mentioned. Searching your channel. You don't have any videos about HOW to find work as a Bubble developer. Did I miss it? I think if you share your experience how you found work, job, etc will be VERY HELPFUL. - Are you doing full-time freelance? - Did you start as a Airdev Bubble developer? - How did you find companies to work for as a Bubble dev? Share a list of strategies that will help people find a job or start self employment. Thanks again for sharing your story and knowledge!
Wow I feel like this happens to every Bubbler when they literally try to make anything more than a basic calendar app lol I use Flutterflow and I've been recommended Bubble for "speed" and "reliability" just to find out you can't even customize or change exactly how you want your app to be which is needed in the modern world of apps like TikTok or uber that's why i use Flutter-flow
Hi The Wise Bubbler, question: if I'm going to work for a client, should I use my existing Bubble account with a plan, the client's account directly or create a new account for each project and share the credentials with the client? Thanks for your videos, they're very helpful.
