Just love your micans. I'm working on getting one like this but I have it in semi hydro. I also think it funny how us plant lovers change our minds on what plant we love at any given time 🌻
Good thing about hoyas is that they are very resilent so they will push put new growth from internodes in the stem😊good luck and happy growing hoyas are addicting🥰
I'm not an expert but I think you have a burtoniae Variegated. Give it bright light to encourage variegation. There's information out there about the ds-70, bilobata and burtoniae. Miro had a nice video breaking it down.
haha. I've purchased alot more the past few weeks. We might have to hold off on the trade for some of my plants to get more mature. I'll reach out to you once I know you're no longer on vacation. Maybe a video chat might be needed. :)
Nice picks! The vine that was broken on the first Hoya, did you try to propagate it? When something on my plants snaps off, that’s my first thought 😄 I love the look of the fairy castle cactus, you should definitely put a little fairy in there 😊 As for the browning on Hoya leaves, I have a similar problem on mine. When leaves come out, they’re a maroon/ rusty red colour and they change to green as they get bigger. But some of them keep those spots and I’m not sure if it’s a watering issue or something fungal? I know hoyas are kind of succulent-y, so maybe keeping it in LECA with a constant reservoir is a problem? But it’s growing well otherwise…🤔
Hi! I did try to propagate the vine, but unfortunately, it just didn't make it. As for the browning on my Hoya leaves, it seems to be improving now. I took it out of the cache pot, and it looks like things are getting better-maybe it was an airflow issue. I'm keeping an eyes on it. Thanks for being here, friend.
@@mixonplantsncrafts Too bad it didn’t propagate 😕 As for the one with the dark spots, you can never go wrong with more airflow! Pots with holes on the sides are a great idea, I’m seeing The LECA Queen use those in her setups and I’m thinking of trying them out as well
Near the end I wanted to hug you so much! 😢 Really hope things get much better for you all from now on ❤️❤️❤️ I’m happy for you that you are able to meet up with planty friends and get your mind off things, you really need it. Your no drainage setup looks interesting, I’m intrigued to see how it works for your Alocasia. And the begonia is just splendid! Thanks for the sincere video 🙏
Thank you for the kind words. After this weekend, we're feeling even more hopeful that things will turn around. A big part of it is just exhaustion-we're craving sleep and a return to a routine, which would really help us emotionally. I’m excited to see how the Alocasia does too! LOL! Fingers crossed i don't kill them.
I know watching our pets go through things and feeling helpless when it happens is very hard. I hope that the medication works and he can live a long health life. Thank you for sharing and I hope your baby Alocasias do well.
My fave for now are dorstenias and francoisiis. The beautifully shaped and colored varieties are pricey but there are always other varieties uniquiely pretty in their own ways.
I got kinda scared after the stem broke, but seems like you quickly saved it. An update in a few months would be nice to see how she did. You have really pretty hair.
I’m not sure those are spider plants either, they do look a bit suspicious. My suggestions would be to place them in water, as you did, but I would choose a shorter jar so those leaves can breathe. Something like the short, fat salsa jars. I’ve been growing spider plants since I was 13 (I’m 63) and I’ve only ever grown them in basic potting mix. I’ve never ever seen one go that crispy.
I love tiny plants 🌱 One of the reasons is I don’t have any grow lights and I have to keep them on the windowsills but they’re also really cute 😊 My favourite at the moment are my baby Alocasia Pollies but I have to find them new homes soon, I’m only going to keep the mother plant
@@mixonplantsncrafts It was so rewarding to grow them from corms, I appreciated the experience! But I think I won’t have a problem parting with them, especially since I know I’ll have more 😄
