If you could break down and put yourself together Then would all the pieces ever fit the same? If you could see all the ways we're tied together Would you pull apart the ugliness and shame? Gods walk amongst all Without fear Without tears On a higher plane than any one of us Gods walk amongst all Without fear Without tears Tell me now, which side do you fall? Distraught faces Vacant homes displace them all the time The ones we leave behind (The ones we leave behind) No hope, no help Excuses replace guilt, patronize The ones we leave behind The ones we leave behind If we could break through the structures built between us Then would all the fault lines simply disappear? If we could fight back (fight back) and bring ourselves together Then our sacrifices will not be in vain (will not be in vain) Gods walk amongst all Without fear Without tears On a higher plane than any one of us Gods walk amongst all Without fear Without tears Tell me now, which side do you fall? Distraught faces Vacant homes displace them All the time The ones we leave behind (The ones we leave behind) No hope, no help Excuses replace guilt, patronize The ones we leave behind The ones we leave behind If you could break down (down) and put yourself together Then would all the pieces ever fit the same? Distraught faces Vacant homes displace them All the time The ones we leave behind (gods walk amongst all) (The ones we leave behind) No hope, no help Excuses replace guilt, patronize The ones we leave behind The ones we leave behind
This might be a top five song in their entire catalogue. It's not as complicated or prog as some of the stuff from Shogun or as raw as their early stuff but just in terms of "my ears are happy when they hear this" this song is WAY up there
@@GeorgeZimmermen Nah, this is one of their top songs. I remember you saying this same thing in respone to a comment of mine. Seems like you have something against The Defiant in particular.
@@aitokoojii1462 I would put all of shogun over this song and all of ascendency except dying in your arms as well. Anytime I see someone say it’s one of their best songs I can’t help myself but to teach them that their opinion is wrong. It’s just what I do. No need to thank me
Travis is still the best Trivium drummer but Alex Bent clearly isn’t that far off in my opinion, imo the best post Travis Smith Drummer that Trivium have had, without any doubt ❤
@@samueldyke-rk9il For me Alex is a much better drummer, the best the band has ever had. He is much more technical and it shows that he has plenty to play, he is never overextended. I understand what you're saying about Travis, mostly because he was the first drummer. He's like David Silveria in Korn, he was a great drummer but ray luzier is light years away. This is my opinion, of course!
Absolutely Phenomenal but what happened at the end? Where is that final twang on the guitars to chrechendo the whole enormity of the rather epic and badass beast of the song?
