@@nat.serrano it's not a standard thing that phantom does but your dealer might be able to submit a NSO(non standard order) requesting a 100% block out fabric... Depending on the size will depend weather they will do it or not. Go to www.screenmobile.com for your local Screenmobile. They will be happy to help you out.
It really depends on what area you are in. They are shipped out of Florida and come in a package16' long so shipping is a factor (common Carrier). Here in Southern California, they install from between $2600-3500 depending on the options selected. Check with your local Screenmobile and they would be happy to give you a quote. Go to www.screenmobile.com and enter your zip code for the Screenmobile nearest you.
@@lorenzomendez4937 Lowe's used to and we did their installs in our area but that program has ended in the US... In Canada home Depot carries them I believe. They are a professional install only, so even when you could get them in the US from a box store, you would still have to have them professionally installed. Go to www.screenmobile.com for your local Screenmobile to help you out.
It will range depending on size and options from $500-1500. Contact your local Screenmobile at www.screenmobile.com to discuss your options and pricing.
@@sreenmobilesouthocinteresting, I reached out to my local screenmobile here in Whittier and they gave me an estimate of 3-4K for something exactly like the door in this video.
@@sreenmobilesouthocthanks for all the information ℹ️! I am in San Diego , not Orange County but utilized your site to meet a local rep. I received an estimate for $1200-$1400. Alex, showed me the door you demonstrated in this video and one other, there was a $100 difference between the cost of the two. Of course tax plays a part in the cost. They looked like quality doors, an investment but with good value.
I would think a roll down screen that mounts on the exterior would be your best bet. But I would contact your local Screenmobile for recommendations. We don't really see those garage doors here in my area so I don't have a ton of experience with those. Go to www.screenmobioe.com and enter your ZIP code for your neighborhood Screenmobile.
Yes, we custom made this arch to screen insert. Your local Screenmobile will be happy to help you with making one for you. Go to www.screenmobile.com for the closest franchise to you.
Yes, you're right, it is a fantastic product! Phantom doesn't really sell to the end consumer. The reason being is that the installation on these is very tricky, especially if you've never installed retractable screens before. There are like 7 different sill adapters to choose from depending on your threshold of the door and every door is different! Then there is color of the unit and the threshold adapter and then you may or may not need a top track to catch the top rail. As you can see, this is a professionally installed product, Phantom has distributors that sell to dealers who then sell and install to the final customer like yourself. The best bet is to go to www.screenmobile.com and input your zip code to find the closest ScreenMobile nearest you. They will be more than happy to help you out with your retractable door needs. If you are in South Orange County CA that would be me, outside of that area unfortunately would not. You can always reach out to us at 949-364-5292 and we can answer any questions you may have about these doors and who your local ScreenMobile is.
It really depends on the area/market you're in. With options here, in southern California, they can range from $1800-3000 installed. Go to www.screenmobile.com and put in your zip code for the closest Screenmobile to you.
Such amazing content! I read a book with similar content, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. "Reclaiming Connection: The Journey of a Digital Detox" by Joshua Ember
We are based in South Orange County so we don't go to riverside but we do have a Screenmobile in your area. Go to www.screenmobile.com and type in your zip code and it will give you the Screenmobile in your area. I always recommend dealing with a local company when it comes to custom installs like this.
Interesting system. I wish you would have shown more details on installation. You mentioned that it was intended only to be a face mounted screen system ... but it seems I'f seen in the instructions that if can be in a recessed installation also.
Yes, fair point, I'll do a more in depth review and video on it next install. As far as recess mounting, it can be done but it really leans itself to a surface mount install if possible.
This system did not have a lock but they are available to add to them so that they cannot be opened from the outside. There are a couple of options for a center door, This system does not have a door in the middle, but you can have a retractable door or swinging screen door in the middle section and both have a locking option. Hope this answers your question. Feel free to give us a ring and we can go over all of the options for these screens. You can always go to our web site at www.screenmobile.com/south-Orange-county
for a 14' unit, the Vista View from Wizard will work for that application. Depending on the area that you're in and installation that could be anywhere between $2800-3500 installed. There are several factors that effect price but the main ones being, installation (recess vs surface mount and build outs required) and shipping. Shipping alone can be up to $500 due to the size of the unit (14') and will have to ship common carrier. If an order is place (or held) with other orders so they all ship together, this can be spread across several customers to help spread the cost. Contact your local Screenmobile for more accurate pricing for your area at www.screenmobile.com.
Unfortunately we don't do the actual garage door. I would recommend getting that replaced first and then have the screens installed. If you're interested in the lifestyle screen door system do not get a side lift garage door opener.
Reach out to my email and I'll try and put you in contact with someone that can help you out in Hawaii. These are all made to order and have to be very precise to work properly. They make that someone will have to measure the opening exactly before they are ordered up. southorangeco@screenmobile.com
Often times there is no loss of entrance height. It does depend on your garage door setup and how the lifestyle for is installed but the maximum height loss is 2" from the bottom of the j bar that connects the garage door to the motor. Basically the size of the frame.
It decreases it by minimally the width of the frame which is 2". Often times it only reduces the vehicle max height by 1". It is garage door install dependant and can vary.
There is a way to access the front of the garage and access those shelves. You can put the screen down but not connect the magnets, release the garage door from the trolley and roll it down as well. They both won't go all the way down but will give you access to all but about 18"to the wall.
I have a customer that bought one of these and they wanted installed. Is it a one-man installation or two men installation? And how many hours of labor.? Thank you very much
@@jesseclark322 good idea to schedule more time. if you haven't done screening before, that's going to be the hardest part for you. They are big bays to screen so not easy for experienced screeners. Bring 4 saw horses to build and screen on. Good luck!
I do not, but you can go to www.screenmobile.com and type in your zip code for your local Screenmobile. They will be happy to help you out with your project. Good luck!
when the screen is closed, would the garage door close w/o any issues (like catching/snagging onto the mesh) OR must the screen be fully open, not closed, prior to garage door closing (in event someone forgets this step)?
There is a safety feature that blocks the "beam"for the garage door sensor on the lifestyle door telling the opener that something is in the way so the garage door opener will not roll the door down. The only exception would be if you didn't roll the lifestyle door up all the way. If you don't get the bottom wheels over the side rails at the top then there could be an interference. That would be do to neglect to just not put it up all the way. As a side note....You can have the screen down and pull the release for the garage door to use it manually and get both doors down pretty close to all the way. You would do that if you had storage above the garage door to access.
Actually this customer has 3 big German Shepherds that they keep in the garage. The screen is pet resistant and without a center retractable door like this one, they can't get out! This unit has been installed for well over 5 years and I have yet to go back out for a re-screen.
I believe we have a franchise in San Antonio. Go to www.screenmobile.com type in your zip code and will give the closest screen mobile to you That would love to help you out with that project.
I do not, but luckily we are a franchise. Just go to www.screenmobile.com and type in your zip code for your local Screenmobile. Good luck with the project!
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "high lift" but the only track that I know it won't work with is a low clearance garage door track. Those will have the upper panel to rollers in a separate track at the top.
Go to www.screenmobile.com and type in your zip code and it will direct you to your local Screenmobile that can help you out with your project. Good luck!!
These are a pretty complicated installation. I would not recommend trying to install this yourself. It takes us 2 experienced technicians 3-4 hours to install. Not to mention the screening portion, if you don't have experience screening large openings you'll never get the screen tight. My advice, Leave this one to the professionals.
Matt, I am a contractor way on the other coast in Maine. Getting ready to buy this same screen system. We aren't as used to the big doors and have all the bugs you'd want. Any recommendations if this system is actually o.k.?
The Zig Zag is a decent system and we use it when you need to have entrance from both sides. Keep in mind it's a pleated system and some customers don't like the look of that style mesh. If the doors are tall, and they have coastal breezes they are prone to blow out of the track. Take a look at my videos of the Vista View by Wizard. That is our go to system for wide format doors. It's a smooth rolled fabric with a zipper retention system. It only opens from one side though, so if they want a double sided entry then the Zig Zag is the only option.
