Grey House Harbor......your an awesome Mom and creative genius!!! I'm working on an Optimus Prime robot for my 10 year old grandson. People have asked you what kind of cardboard to use. Cardboard boxes folks! And every one of these has to be tailor made for the individual (the child's size. I appreciate on how you designed and described the mask in great detail. And you nailed it when you said "paying attention to detail "; as in my opinion , that is what make these home made costumes so special. Very time consuming, sometimes frustrating, yet fun. and knowing your child has something truly unique!!! Great job Mom!!! I've always made costumes for my kids and myself. Some take very little time. Just some imagination! Thanks for posting an awesome video!!!!
I made this costume last year for my son using this video as a Template. I came out just like hers and let me tell you that look she has a 3:38 is exactly the look you will have when you build! It is work! Lol but if you built it with patience and love of perfection like she and I you will have a optimus to be proud of and it will last. One thing to add instead of putting the regular blue sweatsuit for he or she to wear I went with a cheap walmart optimus prime costume to wear under the truck that way when he stands up you will still see flames and the design of Optimus. If you used the exact colors true of optimus prime it will match perfectly. If you want pictures to help you let me know and I will share. Good Luck!
