Absolutely! With the smoke box, you just leave it mounted & drill through both the smoker & box at the same time. Then it all bolts together…very easy👍
The installation video is a good visual guide. Install took about 40 minutes (my OCD kicked in midway). Rack adds additional cooking space. Looks great and built to last. Finally, a quality product!
Hi Kathleen! I do have them but I stopped shipping them solo…almost 50% of them get ruined in the shipping tubes. Shipping is rediculous on the tubes aswell & I got tired of eating it lol! So I do sell them still, but unfortunately only as an add on item with one of the rack systems. They don’t get damaged in those boxes😁 pcsrackworks.com/
Great vid, thanks! I’m really torn between a LSG pellet and their traditional offset. I think the tipping point for me will be that I like cooking BBQ often/on workdays, and that’s just about what a pellet smoker is all about. Anyway, thanks again for the vid! Good stuff.
Lol! Yes you’re right Robinson was a Game Changer compared to the average ball player…my rack systems are Game Changers compared to the factory solo grate 😁👍
Chad...check out LSG's NEW wood chips made specifically for their pellet grills... these specific sized wood chips can be combined up to a 50/50 mix with any pellet of choice... They're thought behind this is to produce as close as possible of smoke flavor as an offset.. p.s would love to see someone do a low and slow with the combination so we out here in RU-vid land can get an honest 3rd party opinion on the results...Blessings
Right on thanks brutha! I came accross them a couple times, really looking forward to trying them out…very curious to see how the rig runs with them & of course how the flavor comes out! 😜🔥🔥🔥
Man, those double stainless steel smokers are bad ass. Did you use 309 on the weld for the smoker u cooling on or just polished up with a high temp clear coat?
Hey bud! You can see all my options & pricing here on my website 👍. You can contact me through email from the site if you have any questions. Thanks! pcsrackworks.com/
@@chadpeterson6805 thanks man! I found it shortly after commenting but you should put it in the description of your videos on here! I’ve been googling trying to find an additional rack, couldn’t find your website but I found this video!!
@@chadpeterson6805 nope, could be the pellets. but it did it quite a bit with several brands. last time I used lumberjack 100 percent hickory, I thought there was a grease fire there was so much smoke pouring out of the stack and door area. so I sold it. the last 2 pork butts I did had no flavor, was so disappoint I didn't even want to finish the rest of it. the ones I would do on the weber smokey, id have tacos and sandwiches all week with the leftovers. just my opinion but my 300 dollar weber smokey mountain puts out better food. wood pellets are too small and dry which is why I think, at least in my case, don't produce much flavor. and im not the only one. was in a lsg pellet group on facebook and several others think it produces too much dirty smoke and has no real smoke flavor. ill be looking into an offset or a gravity fed smoker.
@@chadpeterson6805 never smoked on one so I gotta admit im leary because of the learning curve of managing the fire. but they say the really good smokers work with you and not against you. I would like a fatstack. your offset is beautiful. looked up that brand and all I saw was shelves and grates.
@@davidstiver2304 Yeah that’s my small business…It’s all rack systems for the Recteq line of pellet smokers. It’s been really good to me & doesn’t leave me much time to build many offsets, lol! I build them for local folks when I can & really have them dialed in, just can’t get many out & I’m not willing to have employees because things will change & not be as consistent 😁. Both my offset & reverse flow run within 10 degrees from side to side with no hot spots, no deflectors or tuning plates on the offsets either 😜
Hey Brian! Unfortunately it has those rails in there already for their upper rack & makes it extremely difficult to design without me purchasing one lol! If you were local I’d be more than willing to help you out!
Hey bud, congrats on the new rig!!! Here’s my website, you can place your order on there, or contact me with any questions through there aswell! Thanks 👍 pcsrackworks.com/
Great video! Do you get any grease dribbles/leaks from the LSG inside chamber to outside via lid opening? I know with high heat chicken it splatters and some of my grills contains all of it inside but some do leak - little it to the outside of grill. Thanks!
Thanks bud! No leaks out the front…they use something similar to lava lock or fire black to seal around the door & that absorbs aswell. It’ll need to be replaced in the future, but it’s all good, it seals nicely 👍
@@318android3 Right on man! I do like it a lot bud! Love the Fireboard controller, the fire pot clean out is money & it’s built very good for a pellet rig. It burns more clean smoke than I’ve ever seen in any other pellet rig aswell. Obviously it goes through more pellets but I don’t care 🤣🤣
Thanks for the great comparison video! Did you upgrade to the 8” casters or keep 5”? I won’t be lugging it too far but when I do it will be just to deep clean away from patio. Would Love some feedback on which casters you have and how easy/hard it is to move around. Thanks! (Def don’t want off-road package as I won’t be moving it from my house)
Hey bud, thanks! I upgraded to the 8” casters & it move around very easy!! Plus it brings it up a bit more 😁. Really don’t realize the weight of it when moving it…although Ofcoarse it would feel light after moving the stickburn over 1k 😜
Hey bud! Here’s my website…any order inquiries go to my email & I respond with payment info! You can email me here if you have any questions. Thanks! petersonshelves@gmail.com pcsrackworks.com/
No, unfortunately they spot welded their brackets to the sides & they’re in the way for my brackets lol. I have a 1070 but haven’t opened it yet, It’s the insert for an outdoor bar/kitchen. I’ll be making a bottom slider for it & a top shelf that isn’t so deep…just can’t do the Game Changer 👍
Is it able to sit a little lower? I usually like to smoke my brisket fat side up but on a second shelf. To me that looks like a brisket would be close to touching the top. Either way I'll definitely be getting one of these at some point. Good work.
Thanks bud! These install measurements center it leaving approx 4.25” top & bottom. Briskets & butts on top can get close but fit…just not the monsters 😜. You can actually mount it lower & won’t hurt anything…you’ll just use your own judgment on measurements 😁
I do, but just a lower slider & replacement upper racks. Their spot welded brackets screwed the pooch for my Game Changer stuff, lol! My lower slider is way more user friendly that the factory stuff 👍
Hey Chad! Bought my shelf for the Bull from you a couple of years ago. Funny when I saw you pan over to the dual 7’s I knew exactly who you were then checked the name lol. So o got to ask I’ve been rolling with my bull for 2 years now and man I love it when it’s working. However as I wait for another board (3rd one so far) I started checking out the LSG and also just going back to stick burner aka my old Lang. In seriousness I know you can’t beat stick burner flavors but pellet continence is hard to beat. Do you feel that the LSG is a much better build quality over the recteq’s and that the flavor is any better or same as your bulls?
I’ll build these as time allows…I don’t have much of it lol! Still super busy with my slider systems for the Recteq smokers. I just finished a 24x60 standard offset. I settled on a unique/different deflector plate that works rediculously good…lots of testing with them 😁. Anyhow a 24x48 is in the 5,500 range, plus or minus depending on steel pricing at the time. Problem is I just build these for local folks to pick up…just don’t want to deal with crating & shipping. Possibly down the road.
Just placed my order boys, got the #4B-Game Changer for my '18 Bull 700 plus the diverter since it was a cheap add-on. Can't wait to install and grease up this insane new setup.
Man if you don’t mind spending the money…LSG all day long! The 2 are in completely different classes. Both awesome but awesome on their own level. I use the LSG way more than my Recteq’s. If you were to by the 1250, just get the 700 & one of my rack setups…you’ll have a better rig 😜. Seriously though if money is no object…LSG 👍
how much for a 24x60 offset with insulated firebox with 3/8" thick inside and out shipped to CA? What is your lead time? Also with folding 8" smoke stack
Hey Kevin! I’m actually in CA. I only make a few for local guys & they’re lined up, lol! I’m so busy with the rack systems I just don’t have time to crank out the smokers. I don’t build 3/8” thick either…my resources are for 1/4” stuff 😁.
That was an excellent comparison man! I just ordered my LSG 20x42 last month and it won't be here until October. How long have you had your for? Do you think it makes better smoke than any other pellet smoker out there? I can't frickin wait until I get mine so I can start cooking for all my f@#kers lmao 😂
You’ll love it bud! IMO it has more smoke flavor than any other pellet I’ve eaten off of. We just did another vid…LSG pellet vs. Recteq pellet. It was interesting, my tasters voted in favor of the recteq for more smoke flavor…I don’t agree, lol! I’ve had my Recteq’s for over 3 years & the LSG for maybe 4 moths. Cook on it a lot & while not being night & day it produces good smoke flavor next to my recteq…LSG smokes NONSTOP! But the build quality is outstanding & the fireboard controller is freakin awesome 👍
@@chadpeterson6805 Cool thanks for the response Chad! Looks like you have a great set up there for your BBQing - mine will be right next to our pool too. You should do a separate vid for those bacon wrapped Oreos - I'm very intrigued by those! Have you done a brisket on the new LSG yet? One of the features I am looking forward to on it is being able to cold smoke stuff - have you tried any cold smoking yet? I would love to get some advice and tips from you as far as seasoning mine once I get it. Hope you have a great summer and keep those vids coming brother!
@@jeffpuffenbarger6800 I haven’t done a brisket on it yet. It’s hard not to do them on the stick burn 🤣. I will soon! We’re actually designing an outdoor bar/kitchen setup right now…hopefully get some time to get going on it! Hit me up anytime brutha!!!
@@chadpeterson6805 That is awesome - i thought you had a pretty damn cool setup back there already! When you told your dog to "go get 'em Cooper!" towards the end of that vid, I had to chuckle because one of my dogs is named Cooper too and he loves trying to scare strangers away just like that lol
