This beautiful palace faces the old Horse Race Course entrance gate in Secunderabad. It was also the Govt Arts College in Secunderabad under Osmania University in mid 1960s until it shifted to opposite Zororastrian Club in Secunderabad. I finished my degree course attending my classes in this beautiful palace. The wide open spaces with sparse population in twin cities was a great delight up until late 1980s. Hyderabad has expanded, prospered, opened up employment opportunities and has blossomed into a modern metropolis today. The modernity hastened after installation of the giant monolith Buddha statue in Hussain Sagar Lake. The Telangana Govt should restore all old heritage buildings of the Qutab Shahi and Nizam Shahi buildings. The city can earn UNESCO World Heritage Site. Half km radius around Charminar should be made into a pedestrian zone and beautified. Charminar along with Mecca Masjid and Chow Mohalla Palace spot will then be next in glory to Taj Mahal.
