My channel will show all types of earthmoving and construction related equipment. My goal is to bring interest of young people to persure a career in the construction industry. Currently there is a shortage of operators so I want these videos show that there are jobs that have a constant window view and not working in a cubbed office inside with just a view of four walls. I worked over 40 years without even a one window to look out there was just the four walls, think about that when you select your career.
Smaller bites. Ran a couple of these old girls. First was the high horse(turbo charged) with hydraulic dozer. Next was a non turbo with a cable dozer. First one would do about double in a day,,,,especially piling brush. Sweet sound when those old girls were barking. When they got down to blowing smoke rings, time to grab the clutch. Not a lot of electronics, bought the closest was booster cables when the switch was left on,,,ah the good old days.
I bought an old TD-15B when I was 21. Put a new undercarriage on it and made some good money. It started having metal shavings in the transmission fluid, so I sold it. It ran so clean that it didn't even need Tier 4 emissions.
This machine belongs to a friend, and he has several old machines earth moving that he demonstrates during ours shows. I do like the looks and sounds of these older machines.
This video was just boys having fun playing in the dirt. There was no real reason to have this type of setup. I wish that I had a place to play in the dirt with these bigger machines when I was younger.
@@hjorleifuringason2778 There is no need - unless the Operators brain is unable to function quick enough to Dump n run !. Decel is just Wasting Cycle time !!. An experienced Operator will start to dump on the approach to the dumptruck and be dumped and on his way back i one swift manoeuvre. I done it with 955L for 15 years
@@AlexLindley-u5f it's a historic machine show DH.....no need to do anything right, just have fun!! And if you know track loaders there is no decel function!!!
There was an issue with this machine during this recording and the operator was pushing it hard plus having a good time at our no show event. There is also a shelf of rock that the machine was slipping on.
Ive worked many a day years ago around 91s , 22s and 35s , with a cedar rapids pit master rock crusher- primay and secondary , 80 and 180D northwests shovels , with a lima threw in with a punkinball .
This place is awesome. If you can get the chance to be in Brownsville, PA for our May or August shows you would not be disappointed. I will be posting the show videos on my "Earthmovers of the Past" RU-vid channel soon.
i am curious, what do you see that makes the operate appear to have no experience? I hope that you did like watching this older dozer operating. Thanks for your comment.
@@EarthmoverZone sory I ce you oprat machine chan dangers Salaping. You no idea Baled leavl on Garond. Your machine. OLD IS A GOLD .PLEASE YOUR Country. Thanks
I'm pretty sure that is Jim Duffy on his own D7E, he has a well known construction company in his area of PA, and is a very experienced owner and operator of heavy equipment. Dirt cuts harder than sand dunes ashraf.
That is Jim, but I don't think that is his D7. I believe the dozer belongs to Dom. I like to video record Jim at the shows, I know him to be an experience operator and a great person.
The driver of this truck is my grandson, his is having the great time. Hope to have more videos of Euclid trucks as I attend the historical equipment shows this year. I will post most of these older machines on my other RU-vid channel @earthmovers of thepast". Thanks for your comments.
This video was taken at the National Pike Steam Gas and Horse Association in Brownsville, PA. We have two shows every year in May and August. You can find out more at nationalpike, com. Thanks for the comment, hope you can visit our show.
@@stephenneville7841 That would be great. There is a hotel about 10 minutes away from the show and we have primitive camping on the property. My name is Brian, so if you have any questions about the show just comment back. My grandson is driving this truck and we just decided to record him chasing me after our last show. This show is a family event full of our history, if you visit make sure that you wear your playground cloths.
@@EarthmoverZone ok sounds good!! I own an excavation company but it’s all modern equipment. Im fascinated with the older stuff. We live in New Hampshire but it would be a great road trip for us!!!!
I did get a short cab ride and posted on my other channel. Here is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sUuk99oYn8s.html . I will try again at our August show it rained most of the day on Saturday then I did not catch up with any drivers on Sunday. I will be posting the older machines on my "Earthmovers of the Past" channel.
@@EarthmoverZone Thank you for the vid on your other channel with some in-cab sequences. Will appreciate if you can obtain more footage in August! Thank you very much. It´s great to see (and hear!) regards Andreas (Austria)
@@jeffc7486 Hope you get the chance to see our show before you move. I will be posting videos of this and other shows on my RU-vid channels @earthmoversofthepast and @historicalequipmentsandbox, but it is not the same as being there.
This video was taken at the National Pike Steam Gas and Horse Association in Brownsville, PA. We have two shows every year that we demonstrate historical earthmoving machines, coal mining, steam engines, and farm related equipment all from the past. This is a great show to attend with shade trees, park benches, food and plenty to see. www.nationalpike.com The D7 was having thermal issue so they wanted to load the engine. Note the cardboard around the engine.
If only ithad been loaded. That is a sweet song. The Allison tranny makes it sublime. I used to listen to those 20 ton Eucs working at night in the local iron mines a few blocks away. Oh to go back with a good modern camera.
Hopefully I will have several videos of loaded trucks from our May show. They will be posted on my "Earthmovers of the Past" channel. Thanks for your comments.
@@EarthmoverZone Mesabi iron range in Minnesota or Marquette iron range in Michigan. Mesabi had over a hundred open pit iron mines in the 40's through 60's. Marquette was mostly underground but used these for surface work. Minnesota had three other iron mining areas, called ranges, Cuyuna, Vermillion, and Spring Valley. Michigan also had the Menominee and Gogebic, which extended into Wisconsin. In Minnesota there were once hundreds of these 20 ton "Eucs" in the iron mines. So many that the local Euclid dealer used to keep some new ones in stock, just like a John Deere dealer in farm country does now with farm equipment. Unfortunately only a couple of these hundreds are left, stuffed and mounted in museums.
Yes indeed! I always enjoy watching dozers at our show. Thanks for watching and subscribing to my channel. I am planning to post more of modern machines on this channel and the older machines on my Earthmovers of the Past channel.
