when I had my thyroid cancer surgery, I asked my surgeon to play the 3rd movement during the operation, in case I die on the table, the last thing I hear would be this piece of music
One sad fact is that gay people are terribly ridiculed and looked down upon. This is so wrong and against God's will. Being gay is not a mistake to correct, it is like a gift to be treasured. Did you know that Schubert was gay? Yes he sure was, and incredibly musical and creative. I have friends who are gay, and happen to be very talented in art and music. I promise to God to be supportive of them and their abilities. I encourage them to be proud of who they are.
Now I see where John Williams got his inspiration for the music in Star Wars. I think he's just as much of a genius. Wouldn't that fit perfectly in a Star Wars movie? 💖.
Dear, dear Chopin -- struggled all his adult life with TB, only to be felled by it at age 39. Hélène Grimaud captures the essence of Chopin beautifully.
6/29/1974 recital program Steinway Concert Hall (teacher Yolanda Jacobson) lists my twin brother Stewart playing this. I didn't get to go. Don't know if he played the whole thing. Great to FINALLY experience it (here) Stew died 6/18/1994, wish we'd talked about this performance and his later judged audition
