This guy was my favorite prostock driver. He was supposed to retire the previous year before he actually retired, but it was my first year back to racing a m d I expressed it was sad he was retiring, because his driving made me want to drive 1.5 hrs evey Saturday to watch him. So. He stayed one more year. He said it was nice to see someone appreciate his racing to drive that far to watch. Or something like that. Rick, you were awesome.
I worked for brett hearn many years ago and my experience was not so good. He never once asked me to.go out to lunch with him and the crew when they went out for lunch and never offered to bring something back for me...i was expected to work all the time, no breaks...
I have always been very interested in how these guys make a living doing this! The second thing I’ve always been interested in is how much money their sponsors pump in each year. It must be considerable, because the costs to race are crazy high, and except for a few limited instances, even a win doesn’t pay enough to cover costs! No doubt the jet was a renaissance man, and even though I grew up in NC in the 70’s, and the northeast dirt modified scene was a world away, I was aware of him through the pages of Stock Car Racing Magazine! Great video on a great racer!
It’s a pleasure to work with Lyle. He is 100% of this story as told. For the past 2 years Albany Saratoga Speedway has offered their grounds for Rocktoga, (concert) a local not for profit for children’s cancer and blood disorders. If it wasn’t for that partnership we would not be able to donate to this cause as we do. A special thank you from the board members of Rocktoga Corp. You the man my friend. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The best racing and best race track I have ever been to. This story just shows WHY Albany-Saratoga is "The Great Race Place". All respect to Lyle for his spirit of excellence and perseverance!
Congratulations on promoter of the year Lyle! You’re a trooper! When I lived in the Albany area your track was my Friday evening home. Always great racing.
STUPIDITY and a democrat destroyed what was a good time for race fans of the northeast. After a lot of racing action brought a lot of money and upgrades to the N.Y.S. fairgrounds including all the new restroom facilities etc etc etc a STUPID democrat decided he needed to improve his popularity and destroyed the N.Y.S. fairgrounds speedway . Funny it didn't get malled over like a lot of other historical speedways .Thanks a lot andy cuomo !
This response is to bump up your video. And a reminder that Christians celebrate at least a half dozen holy days in the next month, including Advent, St.Stephen’s Day, Holy Innocents, … ending with Epiphany/Three Kings Day.
Me sitting outside of Autozone with my Starbucks in a dress watching how to fix this because I'm gonna have to do this too. Diagnostics done, part about to be ordered. Thanks Love!
Man would have loved to have seen him in a DLM at Eldora in the 90s-00s. Amazing to think about him going wheel to wheel with Bloomer, Moyer, and Moran!
Something that would be most helpful when removing the clips she says just squeeze it and it will come up. No, not that easy. I say it's easier if you lift the little white clip that allows you to squeeze the clip and raise it up easy.
Brett Hearn has been nothing but a true gentleman every time I’ve met him. He started coming back to New Egypt Speedway in that smokin’ hot Budweiser #3 car and all eyes were on him. Love him or not, the dude is as awesome as they come. I’ve traveled far and wide just to watch Brett race. Long live dirt modified racing! 🏁
