Probably nowhere close to what Brock Bowers can do as far as production. Mayer in college had more receptions than Bowers at 180 with 2,099 yards for an 11.7 average, 18 TD’s and a long of 52. No rushing stats. Bowers had 175 receptions with 2,538 yards averaging 14.5 yards, 26 TD’s and a long of 89 yards. He also had 19 carries for 193 averaging 10.2 yards per carry, 5 TD’s and a long of 75 yards. Brock is 35 lbs lighter than Mayer but they are the same height. Brock has longer arms, bigger hands, can jump nearly 7 inches higher than Mayer, and runs a lot faster than Mayer. Brock is just built different. He was referred to as a “once in a generation TE” by Nick Saban coming out of college. Every SEC coach that Georgia played all said they have never seen a TE like him before. He’s a different breed
He’s 2” shorter and a few lbs heavier than Antonio Brown, another 6th rd WR who had size concerns coming out. The difference though, Washington is faster and has a tremendous jumping advantage when compared to AB. Brown had no problem torching defenses all levels of the field. Now comping him to Berrios vs. a generational talent is safer to do, but I think the sky is the limit for Washington, especially in a McDaniel offense. He’s going to turn heads.
I think not including Travis Hunter is a massive oversight...I know about the full-time CB rumors and all, but as long as he's playing wideout, I think he's easily better than the rest of his peers, from his pristine routes to his natural ability to separate. Love the analysis on the rest of the class!
His hand placement is poor moves slow when pulling and is pass protection at the next level is a wait and see. Misses way to many blocks to be a starter at this point.
Now the Jets have Braelon Allen and Tippmann. Guess we know a school they have a lot of film on. Who's draft eligible for Wisconsin's offense next year? lol
