Hi from Canada .. great video !! Just a question, what OS are you using? I'm hoping to set up a decent VR flight experience using Linux .. any pointers? Cheers :)
Very nice video 👍🏻 Actually I've stopped using my Quest 2 with XP 12 due to the blurry display on the headset (while perfect on the pc, with a 4070 gpu): which software have you installed on your pc for the Oculus? I've found only the one for Oculus Quest Rift and I cannot change anything in the headset, nei there the resolution nor the refresh rate. Thanks in advance
hi, beautiful video, I would like to ask for one detail, I intend to buy this VR, how much can the resolution of this VR be lowered to a minimum?? because I have a 1080TI video card and I7 cpu, thanks, greetings from Italy
Sorry, but I just don't get this add-on ! It's just an different "starting" view, when starting on VR, inside the plane ? I believe that this is also possible, with the 'camera' angles, within the X-Plane software itself !?
@Raven Simulations got it thanks. I didn't notice it sitting in front of you. I thought you were using the oculus controllers for all flight control. Seems like could be tricky using both yoke and hand controllers. Is it?
Totally love your stuff. Blown away. Brand new to x-plane. Can’t for the life of me figure out how to het oculus quest 2 to work with x-plane 11. Enable VR grayed out. Can you please help?
It could be for many reasons. First I would need to know what operating system you have. I get a lot of people saying its grey'd out running on Mac. And that would be because Mac does not support VR. If on mac you must run windows then you can run VR.
@@davesaunders6339 hmmm... I run win 10, and also run the desktop app for oculus, and if I have my oculus quest 2 (meta 2) connected to that app, that box is not greyed out for me.
@@RavenSimulations OK I will see if I can make sense of that. I’m so new to this I’m not sure if I follow. I did download the oculus app so I will see if I can figure out how to run the desktop and connect to that. Any step-by-step on that would be helpful. Someone said I should be running Steam VR, or is that just an unnecessary step? Sure appreciate your help on this. I want to be able to do what you do, it looks so damn fun.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I’m completely new to VR, why would the check box in xplane11 be greyed out when I have my OC2 setup and working fine with other stuff? It’s frustrating because I bought the OC2 solely for VR flight training. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
great work but I got this error all the time C:/X-Plane 11/Global Scenery/X-Plane 11 Global Scenery\Earth nav data\+40-130\+47-123.dsf absent. Recall that the overlay source directory needs to be set in the config window first. any idea how to fix it?
If you are flying a commercial jet then about 80-90% of the time you are looking at your instruments and not so much outside. Especially IFR conditions.
Yeah I fly with my left hand on the honeycomb yoke and have my oculus controller in my right for throttle/dials, buttons etc. And saitek pedals. Pretty much like you would control a real plane
@@RavenSimulations Thanks for your reply. I'm using X-Plane 11 on my Mac mini computer and I like the combination a lot for practicing instrument flights before going for the real flight in an actual airplane, and your video shows that using Oculus could have been awesome. It's a pity it's not supported.
That's a rough transition from xplane to msfs, this problem with the way that they implemented the controllers are an absolute mess. Using both simulators but as a real pilot, its hard to stick with the msfs aspect of being only a game at this stage.
