Video games have come a long way since their inception: graphics have improved, game mechanics have evolved, and soundtracks have deepened, but foremost among them are the changes to the stories they tell. They have evolved from their simple origins of saving the princess or beating the bad guy into unique experiences that rival the best Hollywood movies or best selling novels. Squatch Gaming Official is focused on telling those stories to audiences that enjoy those games, and maybe to people that wouldn't give them a chance otherwise. Take some time to check out some of these stories, and we guarantee you'll be surprised at their depth!

doubt your gonna see this but thanks for making these videos, the story made me get back into loving hotline Miami, and your full chronology vid enticed me enough to drop 10 bucks on the first game. Love the vids, keep it up.
@@SquatchGamingChannel Loved both of the games but I feel nostalgic to wrong number even though it was only a year since I last played it before falling out with it. But just the feeling of playing the pilot episode again reminds me of my first time playing where I couldn't figure out the controls for the life of me despite them being stupidly simple. Again thanks for making these videos and reigniting my love for hotline Miami.
Both the henchmen and the fans are kind of sad to see die, as both despite being bad people who's obviously done bad things kind of... I'm not sure if the terms endear or like.... when you follow a show with a villainous protagonist, you kind of want them to get their happy ending
I was hoping Juxtia would be purified. Seems really unjustified that Drelium just gets off scott free as the one who started all this and doesn't have to atone for his mistakes or sacrifice himself to purify Juxtia and keep her alive.
I loved this game I still do! It’s one of my personal favourites And I’m glad jack introduced me to this long ago so I could eventually play it and finish it. It’s a great game :)
No matter the outlook, the ending is tragic and hopeless.Eric will become a powerful monster destined to destroy everything, the corruption from the old world still grows, and there are no more warriors strong enough to stave off the darkness. This world was doomed from the start....God have mercy on the innocent.
Tbh it sounds like the game breaks its own preestablished rules in the last section "only a percentage of a percentage of the people exposed to the gas become reborn" and then having an entire town be reborn
It's implied they migrated there to make the death place of the last human be the symbolic first city of the new order. That said, the reborn are likely chosen chosen for their quality as capable puppets for the Visitors rather than superior beings they believe themselves to be.
Man. remind me to never pirate katana zero ever again. i was broke on cash so i decided to pirate the game and some how i got this version of katana zero instead of the actual game. save to say i was very confused when i watched your actual katana zero story summary
I just want a series that goes through the multiple survivor notes/stories that’s in both games. There might not be many, but listening to it would be better than looking up the notes on the wiki everytime you get in that mood ig.
As good as the story was crafted, I kinda hated it. Because from your point of view from whom you are playing, the entire end of the game is a big "F you" to the player and this is still presented as a game. Also, this was the time when every indie game seemed to have a trippy vague story with a downer ending and the ending of The Last Station had me eye rolling.
Good video, but theres some things you forgot about. The time keeper didnt just play with time randomly, she repeated the same day over and over again, to keep (infected) survivors, mainly the king, alive. Also the only reason the gardener went to the lighthouse was because he was good friends with the queen. This game has very good lore, but i think they couldve done it better. I like the way they did it, like youre not forced to understand it, but for those who want to try, they couldve made things a bit easier to piece together
While i do think that Marty was an Horrific man who deserved most of the bad things that happened to him and whose sons had Every single Right to hate him to Death... I don't really think that he deserved to die in the way that he did, Being reduced to nothing but a Blood puddle by his own son. He was a changed man, i can believe that, and he took care of the girl even if he didn't know she was Brad's daughter, But the horrific things had already been done. He is now a very old man roting in a cave that does nothing but watch TV and be alone. And i think that living in those circumstances inevitably made him rethink his past and genuinely regret them, not only as something to stop brad from hurting him. I really think that bradley should have just ignored him. It wasn't worth killing a decrepit old man alone in a cave. But brad was just too Furious at him that nobody could have stopped him from doing what he did. Even at the cost of becoming a monster like his father...
From what I gathered the whole thing is simulated within Ariane's mind nothing can really be determined as real. Though I'd wager that Elster did really die and Ariane is stuck on the ship (crashed or drifting can't be sure.) Trapped in her own nightmare she manifested everything based on her memories and imagination. Including Elster. That's why it's always a loop, because you can't actually kill Ariane within the dreamworld no matter how much she wishes it to happen.
Your point about the fans being bad fighters is even true in the present. All their levels have them beating up small time thugs, likely teenagers or under 25. The one time they actually get into some shit is when the russian mob is at its lowest point and they all get smashed by Son alone.
Thank you, Darkblu! Happy to hear you enjoy them so much! As for the games: 1. I actually have a script and lots of shots recorded for a video on Iconoclasts. I even recorded audio at one point last year, but it got corrupted, so I had to scrap it and I haven’t gone back to it since. It’s on the backlog though, and I’ll probably make a video on it sooner or later! 2. I’ve never heard of Genopanic. I took a look at it, and I really like the look of it! I don’t think I’ll ever make a video on it, but I might play it at some point! 3. I’ve thought about doing the Axiom Verge games, but there’s not a lot of requests for them, so I haven’t started the process. Thanks for the requests, Darkblu! I can’t get to all of them, but I do keep them in mind when deciding which games to make videos on!
