Montezuma hall, SDSU, San Diego State University. I saw them open up for JAMC as well. Amazing performance. The crowd was memorized, almost trance-like. I am blessed to have seen them perform as I was a fan of theirs at the time . I believe Kendra departed a short time after. I hope you got to see them with Kendra, as her voice is incredible. Hope took over after she left...
@@marcomino70 yep, Kendra. I'd just gotten into "Happy Nightmare Baby" and yeah, people were just kinda mesmerized. Hate to say it, but JAMC were underwhelming, and I couldn't get Opal outta my head.
I just watched "Searching for the Sugarman". I had heard Rodriguez and didn't even realise it. How did Monkeywrench hear this song? That would be interesting to know. Great song, cool version guys!
yeah, I'd realized that the credit on the monkeywrench single said simply Rodriguez. then years later. the documentary came out. and, I heard much of his other great music. thank you MW
Note starling (Sternus vularis) fllies past at 4.03-4.04. I thought it was a chimney swift ( Chactura pelagica) at first. Great song from almost unknown band in the uk (where I come from).
I think I might have seen these perform in the uk. But I can't remember now. It was them or the meat puppets, but I bumped in to Cath Barley, from Harrogate, Yorkshire UK, who I was in love with at the time. Being 19 at the time bumping in to her gave me extreme testosterone cosmic brain melt syndrome and I can't remember anything else about the gig after that. Cath, if you are out there...
