Hi, thanks for your comment. I have not encountered the errors you are asking about, but I’ve never set it to custom. If the leds are indeed dead, you should have Glorious replace it.
@@platinumtechgaming5683 there are only some dead led's when i set it to custom. it would be nice if you would try it and tell me what your experiences are :)
Hey, mb anyone can suggest "best" sounding THOCK switches compatible with gmmk keyboard? I think i would even cut 5 pin switches to 3 pin just to make them work with gmmk if they provides thockines :-)
Hey Nerijus, thocckiness is a really subjective thing in my opinion and are not based on switches alone, but some universal go to switches: Tactile: boba u4t, glorious pandas, topres Linear: black inks, creams, alpacas There are of course many more and hopefully some others can comment their favorites here. Good luck with your build!
@@platinumtechgaming5683 Thank You for your time, and really helpful answer. I wilk watch reviews anf sound comparisons for all of those switches and choose something out of it :-)
Thanks. I ordered a second hand board and it will be my first custom keyboard. I got the one in the video but in black for 75€(new ones are ~150€ in my country because import taxes:( ) and I want to throw in the mix some switches, but cant decide what to get. Also an keycap set would be nice and a coiled cable
Switches are such a preference thing, it’s hard to recommend one definitive one. You should decide if you like linear, tactile or clicky switches. For linears, lubed gateron inky blacks are a good value. Good luck with your build!
Love the video. I have this keyboard - I like it overall but I don’t recommend it. For $100, it’s okay in my opinion. You might as well go a little further in budget and build something that is way more worth the $100+ you’re going to end up spending. The biggest issue I have with the board is that it looks like a really nice keyboard more than it feels like a really nice keyboard (EVEN AFTER MODDING) Overall I’d throw it a 7/10 as a rating.
I can get behind your opinion; not the best but not the worst. I have other keyboards I want to post soon if I can find the time. Thanks for your kind words and for watching!
the sounds before and after are so different...how can you not able to identify? There is so much scratch noise before and the stabs rattle a lot, listen again carefully
From what I remember, lubing the browns did help with the pings, but not sure if it got rid of it all together. I’m sure the extra foam you put will help, but maybe you can film the switches too.
@@platinumtechgaming5683 Thanks for the response! I ended lubing the switches, adding switch landing pads, and extra neoprene foam. Completely transformed the feel and sound. The lubing probably had the biggest effect so definitely recommend. Don't hear a ping anymore.
hi I’m building using this but I’m not sure whether to use plate mount stabs? Are they plate mounted because I’m buying durock and there r either plate mounted or something else which are rhese?
I just checked out the sale. It looks like people aren't really interested in the doorbusters this year. It's been 30 mins and they still seem to be in stock. Also, it's disappointing to see that the prices actually seem a little higher than what was shown during early access. All the prices in this video seem to be lower than today.
Door buster is the most wanted deals that are limited in quantity. The term originated when people would line up in front of stores to "bust the door" for the limited best deals.
I have a question where should I go and wait on the site do I just refresh the home page and it should pop up? Or do I have to go to a certain area on the site
@@platinumtechgaming5683 i have another question are all these prices confirmed for tomorrow because i added the prices of all the stuff and it comes out at pretty much the same price as in the mice bundle so i think for me it would be better to just buy all the stuff i want instead of the whole bundle because i want a bigger mousepad while the bundle has a smaller one
This is just speculation based on the early access prices. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing for sure about the prices they’re gonna set. If you can make your own bundle for similar price separately, that’s awesome and you don’t have to deal with things you don’t need.
1:35 - 1:53 I was wrong about last year's keyboard doorbuster. After re-watching last year's video, the keyboard doorbuster did have tiers of prices based on the size as well.
I know the wrist rests will be on sale and I believe i saw the cleaning kit during the early access last week as well. I don’t remember the prices off hand but they were at least a decent deal.
hey, I was thinking of getting the gmmk. anything I should look out for? also my budget is around 130 USD, should I get pbt keycaps along with the gmmk or should I get different switches instead? Have you experienced any issues with it? nice vid btw. Much better than mine anyway lel
If you want to stretch your budget a bit, I’d wait until Black Friday. Most things would be on sale then including switches and key caps. I’d say if you had to choose, switches over key caps as it would make more of a difference when you type. Try the stock switches out first and if you really like them, then no need to change (though I do recommend lubing the switches). I haven’t ran into any issues yet, but it isn’t my main driver so I don’t use it much.
It’s a decent keyboard that is actually in stock. I would say to fully get the most out of it, you would have to get some better switches and lube them. Also, Black Friday would have the best deal if you can wait (last year they had deals on most things in their store).
I got pre lubed glorious pandas and I'm happy to say they sound amazing with no spring sound. So if your lazy like me definitely worth getting prelubed
@@platinumtechgaming5683 I thought it would be trash but it turned out really good. Mabye I just got lucky though who knows. Can't complain. I'm getting durock stabs next and krytox and mabye better sound dampener and then I'm pretty much done for mods. 1 thing I did want is a aluminium case but that's not going to happen.
