How Cleveland just trades these guys and therefore preventing themselves from competing with the big boys is just bewildering. Absolutely mind boggling. The aversion to right handed power hitting is amazing in today's baseball. Shame because their pitching is always top notch but they can't (or plain don't want to) develop hitting.
may I respectfully ask how players exit the field after all games that didn't end in the home team's final drive ? (helicopter, tricycle, hopscotch, 3-legged race, etc.) I just cringe every time I hear that expression the players ALWAYS walk off the field Son: "Daddy, why do they call it a “walk off” ?" Father: "Because that hit or play ended the game, and because Dennis Eckersley said it once, and the text generation decided that saving one syllable (from game ending to walk off) was worth removing the CORRECT EXPLANATION for what really happens, to an INCORRECT DESCRIPTION that happens after every game ends" Son: "So in reality it was the “game-ending” play ? Father: "Precisely" Son: "Don't the players walk off the field after every game regardless of how the game ends ?" Father: "Yes, they sure do son" Son: “Do the players ever leave the field by any other means after all games, for example, by rowboat, by tricycle, by a jet pack ? Do they ever leave the field playing hopscotch, running the 3-legged race, doing the bunny hop, or anything else?” Father: “No son. The players always walk off the field after every game. Same as it’s been done every game since baseball and football were invented over 100 years ago.” Son: "Then doesn't it seem that 'game-ending' explains EXACTLY what happened ? “Walk off' doesn’t explain what happens AT ALL Dad, right ?” “Walk off” just explains WHAT THE PLAYERS DO AFTER EVERY GAME, like take a shower, change from uniforms to clothes, and go to the team hotel or home.” Father: "Son, you’re absolutely correct. I couldn’t have said it better myself” Son: “Then why do a lot of younger modern day people incorrectly call a game-ending play a “walk off”? Father: “Because new generations often change things just to be changed, even if its completely wrong.” Son: “But Dad, isn’t that absolutely idiotic and foolish ?” Father: "Son, that's why you're more intelligent and know more about baseball than 95% of baseball media and fans. Even Facebook groups are making the same egregious mistake." ;- (
@@vibebaby2338 nor do true sports fans listening to incorrect expressions....the players walk off the field after every game.....and "walk it off" means to be tough and endure pain as it subsides while walking, NOT a verb associated with a GAME WINNING hit
I know it's not technically a walk-off, but being a Rangers fan, I can't help but feel like Marcus Semien's homer in Game 5 of the World Series qualifies. After a very quiet postseason, his shot in the ninth inning just felt like an exclamation mark. Like he sent a message saying "This season is OURS."
It's sad that the MLB is rigged...every single one of them walk off hits were rigged and scripted. Such a good game baseball shame it's just entertainment with scamming
