Im a big fan of Jacaranda by Luis Bonfa, just some beautiful work, some of the old M. Ward stuff when he was playing around with 4 track. PENNIES FROM HEAVEN BY JIMMY RANEY!
Used to like Jeffrey, but man I can’t believe how dirty he did us guitar players with that Guitar Institute. I never felt so ripped off and cheated as I did with that purchase. You shouldn’t have done your customer’s so wrong, especially being a Christian. I hope you change brother, and start being honest with people’s lives.
What's great here is you use real amps. I have tried all modelers, with in ears, monitors, no monitors whatever and nothing works like a real tube amp. I am a Plexi player. Granted I use a load box, and for Worship I use it just to get barely break up sound, then overdrive with an EQ or overdrive pedal. I then mic the cabinets used. At home I turn it all the way up for my main distortion sound but without going through a cabinet. But a REAL amp is a no brainer. At Church, I use it differently, but I MUST use my fave tube amp. What Jeff does is keep everything off stage to control volume. I would much rather invest in balanced cables for longer runs than suffer with a digital amp. Tube amps feel and sound the best. I run effects in a rack as I want to get the same quality I get when recording in my studio. So, using a mixer, multiple Digital Delays, a power amp then a separate cabinet. Whatever Bottom line, there is a way to use tube amps at Church you all. Moving it all off stage as to not kill the front row is key, as Jeff and many others do. Modern day load boxes make it possible to tame those older non master volume amps.
With the high bitrate digital we have now, the only reason to do analog is if you’re a fan of classic equipment. Otherwise $400 can get you something like Guitar Rig and a used foot controller.
2nd one you show the tab for a Gmaj7 but you don't play the F# on the second one, I was wondering why if you are showing/teaching. You can tell by the way you finger it also it is a G6 or Em7 voicing.
Leave it to Lindsey Buckingham to surprise us with this beautiful riff after all his easy stuff. Mac was never the same without him, or the great Christine McVie for that matter.
I have to ask why I see people when they play a note ( they don't even realize they're doing this) Everytime something is played they automatically press down on the whammy bar.Even if it serves no real purpose, they do this every time. Why must we hear a little whammy bar movement whenever the guitar player plays something ? Almost like there spanking the monkey. For example..The Beatles. When you listen to the great records ... Abbey road, Revolver, Sergeant pepper, Let It be ,..you don't hear the whammy bar being pressed down on the guitar at the end of every piece of guitar melody .Now that I think about it I would say you don't hear John, Paul or George doing that at all.I guess it's just a habit the new generation does..
I couldn't tell the difference if you played the first track and asked if it's natural or not. But the second one definitely feels artificially sweetened, great though nevertheless
Hi Jeffrey, Is the Mastermind able to program different affects chain order or do you still need to order the pedals from right to left / ( Inputs -outputs) physically as you should Drives first ect..? Hope this makes sense and thanks for your video's to.
