A lot of things were overlooked, aside from the Bombers and Goldeyes. Among many other things, Winnipeg has given the world 911 numbers, the plastic garbage bags, the genome for the swine flu, and the windbreaker, along with Neil Young and Loreena McKennitt (from Morden, but she started her career in Winnipeg). Speaking of the surrounding area, time zones were invented by a railroad car man from Carman (no, really). The video showed the building but didn't mention that it is the mint for so many countries far beyond Canada's borders. It did mention diversity but didn't make the point that, statistically, it is the most multicultural city in the world.
