Amani Toomer is the most consistent....and imo best wr in giants history.....but that don't mean guys like Plax...Cruz...Calloway...Nicks...Odell..and hopefully Nabers now...weren't straight beasts when they were wit big blue. Toomer just did it over a longer time in blue
37:49 to put this play into perspective: the pats had the correct defense called. it was a 2 high shell with coverage underneath. the DB did a good job of forcing Manningham to the sideline. If this ball is not thrown PERFECTLY, it's incomplete or worse. Lost in the shuffle, Manningham getting 2 feet down AND controlling it, and the biggest irony of it al... it happened right in front of bill belichick.. who did not respond.
11:31 I tend to agree with Tuck about this. The NFL MVP should be about more than just putting up eye popping stats. It should be about the player’s overall contribution to his team, how many games were won based on their play in key moments, where the team would be without them, and it’s an award that should be given after the Super Bowl. Eli was never gonna win that season because of the years that Rodgers, Brees, Brady and even Stafford had, but he should’ve at least been given some consideration. He carried that Giants team for most of the season.
Go Giants! Super Bowl 42 and 46 are my all time favorite Super Bowls. Born in 89 I was to young to have witnessed the 86 and 90 Giants win the SB so this was special. I dont care what any Eli hater says these two Super Bowls made him not only a Giants legend but a NFL legend. He beat Favre, Rodgers in the playoffs and the goat Tom Brady twice in the Super Bowl legend!
I was texting a fellow Giants fan friend of mine on the night they were getting blown out by the Saints about how bad they looked, and he responded "doesn't matter, Packers are winning the Stupid Bowl anyway." In that moment I never thought they'd rebound and rally to win it all that season, embarrassing the 15-1 Packers along the way. What a fun season.
Eli made the smart move by avoiding the Spanos wasteland known as the Chargers. To this day, the Chargers don't even have their own stadium. Go fight the Raiders fans.
Dave diehl yelling “this is giants stadium” after we beat the jets forever replays proudly in my memory, I loved this team so much & now with good coaches we will win another chip SOON
The only reason why I remember the 2011 New York Giants season is because I was experiencing a horrible sophomore year. For example, I was released from the football team, every class I was bullied, still worrying about where am I going to eat at lunch and brushed my teeth at school. Every Sunday, I watched every game of 2011, especially the playoffs.
bro this giants season defacto saved my life. like you I wasn't doing well in school and was crazy stressed out. But this team man.. watched all the games and just had a feeling about them. This was the start of my 2nd chance essentially and I'll forever be grateful for this team
People forget how good Hakeem Nicks played that year People always talk about cruz and manningham but without Nicks not sure they would of went all the way
Nicks was the reason Cruz and Manningham were so productive because nicks was getting doubled so much. Like Belechik said; “Its still a Nicks and Vruz game, make him go to manningham, make him go to Pascoe” And look what happened 🎉 The real ones know!!!!
Coughlins heart to heart: Tuck ... You're playing like Crap... Nobody cares about your family dying.. No nobody cares about your injuries .. play better or You're fired! Yep great coach
Yes. Great coach. He won two rings. Even Tuck admitted that after a while, he was feeling sorry for himself, and he needed to hear that so he could become the dominant player of old. And it worked. He got key sacks in Super Bowl 46, and he helped the Giants win another world title. Sometimes you need someone to tell you what need to hear, not what you want to hear.
They should *REPLACE* this one with "America's Game: The 2011 San Francisco 49ers" since the NFL owners just voted 31-1 to strip NY of it's NFC Championship for winning the game on a FG in OT when OT rules only allow wins by the Visting team in OT on a *TOUCHDOWN*
😂😂😂😂 Stop it. The Niners were not good enough to win when it counted. The Giants bounced you guys again, just like they did when they beat Montana in the 1990 NFC title game.
Actually you’re wrong. The Giants would’ve won the NFC Championship even under today’s rules because both teams still possessed the ball during OT, meaning it would’ve been Sudden Death anyway when the giants kicked the GW FG
I hate the NYGs but because of who they beat, I always tip my (Bills) hat to the 2007/2011 Giants and was 2 of my favorite superbowls in the 2000s because even though my team wasn’t in it, my team’s villain was and Eli and NYG will always own Tom and the Patriots. 😊😊😊
Eli Tom strahan missing camps tiki drama worst def to best def best run game 3 header nasty o line special team dom hixon no name tight ends hedgecock full back and unsung hero rw mcquarter I love that time what a year I think it was only one of the few years I could name the entire team and coaching staff
