Mission: PA-S LEAD promotes leadership, equity, anti-racism, and diversity within PA academia by promoting DEI initiatives at programs, advocating for policy changes, and supporting underrepresented minority students. These structural and policy changes will promote the advancement of culturally sound clinicians; empower, support, and provide resources for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & People of Color) students and allies to increase diversity and equity efforts in their programs and future careers. Who We Are: PA-S LEAD started as a group of PA students of color and their allies that formed out of the May 2020 PAEA Town Hall anti-racism discussions in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. What We Do: We forge connections among underrepresented minority (URM) PA students, PA class Diversity Reps, and other diversity-minded PA student leaders for the purpose of sharing resources, experience, and support across institutions. We do this through monthly Zoom meetings and our website.
