Happily married, father of 3, full time 40 hour work week employee that picked up ebay as a part time side hustle. Follow along as I hunt down used golf clubs and other items to flip online for a profit! Come along and learn how to flip golf clubs and other items on eBay for a profit!
@@timpoos4635 the pawn shops in my area don’t accept clubs for some reason but they can be absolute gold mines in other states/areas. I also find some really great stuff in Goodwill and the Salvation Army stores - just not as frequently. My best sourcing spot is actually Facebook marketplace.
The issue is that at the end of the day you arent really making much. $275 plus tax is around $300. Let's say it theoretically sells for 450, then you have to pay eBay seller fees 13.25% which equates to about $60. At that point your total profit is $90 and that's assuming you can even ship it for $30. That's a fairly abnormal shaped object which requires a large box and is quite heavy unlike a driver. You're much better of selling it in person.
As an eBay seller i would never invest that much to make so little. Clothing game is where it’s at. Found a vintage Harley tee for .50 cents and sold it for 300 within minutes. You shouldn’t have to invest so much into one item is crazy at least it sold fast.
I agree not an awesome flip but I don’t have the time or interest in clothing right now. If I can make an extra $1000 a month doing just clubs like this I’ll do it all day long. Great flip on the tee shirt!
Hey Champs, Morning. I found an offer for Ping Iron Toe Heel Balance set from the late 70s, I believe with a B60 Putter and G2 Driver. Should I pull the trigger on one of my first investment or keep looking for individual before I get into sets?
It depends on the price - just because you buy it as a set doesn’t mean you can’t break it up and sell it separately if you can make more. In fact I would recommend that because it’s easier to ship broken up.
@@Lonestarmulligans thank you! I’m also trying to understand on why people are willing to pay more for a club on eBay including shipping rather than sourcing in person. Is this because accessibility to Golf Store and other enthusiasts collectors. I’m assuming living in a rural location has a lot to do with prices?
@@SpaceGhostPurps a lot of people do not have access to golf stores and if they do there is often slim chance that the specific club loft shaft or flex is available used.
@@SpaceGhostPurps you hit the nail on the head! It’s hard to find used clubs that have the specific loft or shaft flex that a buyer may want. It’s completely random as far as what a golf store’s inventory looks like. eBay offers the prospective buyer a way to shop for exactly what they are looking for. There are collectors out there and also buyers that don’t want to waste the time driving to a store to find that the used club section doesn’t have what they want. I also think eBay offers a nice return policy that protects a buyer as well.
Fellow Texan here (Grayson County) but not a golfer HOWEVER intrigued with this niche after seeing some of your videos. The shipping video was fantastic!! So many questions but could you share here or in a video on what brands, club types, and maybe specific models of said club types to be looking for as a newbie? Also, how would you priortize the order of buying putters, wedges, irans, and drivers - which sells best? Maybe a comment or two on what conditions of a clubs you DON'T buy and how to clean them (if you do). Highly interested in starting this journey. Continued success to you. Thanks in advance for any feedback you can share.
Another banger video, I seriously learn so much from your videos! I still haven’t found any clubs to resell. But the day I do, you are going to be the first to know. Also I see you started that drug known as “everything selling”. 😆 Congrats brother, numbers look great… and how are you getting dark mode on flipwise? Browser extension?
I honestly have no idea how dark mode got engaged. It changed half way through my screen shots and I had to go through and re capture them all. I’m nervous the sales are going to dry up! Thanks for all the encouragement!
It happens all the time. I have the AP1s listed for $350 right now plus shipping. 11 people are currently watching them. I got a couple low ball offers but I’ll sell them for at least $300+shipping.
Hey! Came here from Reddit. Thanks for all the info and insight into this niche, its really interesting! I was wondering, do you ever do any cleaning/repair/restoration on any of the clubs that you buy with scuffs, stains etc? Or do you strictly just buy and sell as is?
Thanks for coming over and checking out my videos. I do not to any repairs. I’m currently trying to learn how to regrip clubs. My personal goal is to be able to regrip by the end of the year. Other than that I do not buy clubs that have any defects. As far as cleaning goes I use a heat gun to remove Any stickers if I buy the club from a store. I then use goo gone on the shaft or club head to remove any residue left over from the sticker. The shaft also sometimes gets black sticky residue from the inside of golf bags when grips start to deteriorate that goo gone also takes care of. I use club doctor on every club head as well to buff it and make it shiny. It’s honestly a night and day difference. Club doctor was nice enough to give me a referral code because I bought so much. If you enter mulligan at check out it’s 20% off on their website. One bottle lasts me about half a year at this point. Other than that I use dish soap and water before doing anything because there is normally dirt in the grooves of any old club I buy. Let me know if all of that makes sense
@@Lonestarmulligans Hey! That all makes perfect sense, thanks so much for the detailed response. I've also fixed and sold a few used retro video games, and it sounds like a very similar process to cleaning those up haha. I'll keep your recommendations in mind for whenever I get around to going through the clubs that are available to me. Subbed to the channel as well, great stuff!
Love the content man, how are you able to determine what a club is worth? Also have you tried reselling more rare items such as Scotty’s and Lab putters. I am interested in getting into the reselling game.
If you download the eBay app you can filter your searches with complete and sold. That will give you an idea of what a specific item is selling for. I have sold multiple Scottie’s and LABs. I actually converted to a LAB putter myself after I bought it to flip and started playing with it. I usually pick up a club if the comps are 2x or more than what I buy the club for.
@@Lonestarmulligans gotcha, I just figured that out almost 30 minutes ago 😂 do you ever use eBay to flip clubs or mostly Facebook market, golf galaxy, etc.
2-3 months and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s made accounting incredibly easy, and the visuals are easy and intuitive. I wish I would have found it sooner.
I have come to the same conclusion. I have noticed to that while a return is pending, sales seem to slow down. And as soon as mine close, sales pick right back up. I charge it to the game and use that down time to schedule listing for when it is resolved.
You should try and get a part time job at a golf store. The amount of free stuff you get would blow your mind. Golf clubs, balls, gloves, shoes, hats etc. Even if you pay you get PUD up to 70 percent off or employee discounts. Not to mention playing free golf.
I’d give it up to the other guy for the simple reason that you’re reselling. Even though he put it down, I’d still give it to him cause buying any golf club as a golfer is exciting. Could’ve made that guys day but instead you care more about making a profit.

If he put the putter back, it’s free game. That’s why I always hang on to something until I know for fact I don’t want it. Now, where you did mess up was you didn’t offer to sell it to him for what you’d make or more after eBay fees. Never know, he might have agreed. Easy quick flip.
You leave something on the shelf it’s feel to others to buy. You carry it with you or have them hold it for you at the counter if you want to shop more to buy it.
None of them, any wedge is good. The only difference is the player. Give Tiger a set of 30 years old Wilson 1200 LTs and you use the 2024 new Mizunos and play, Tiger will be the winner 🏆
