Sorry, but why is everything done so fast here? I feel like this video encourages people who aren’t educated in proper fitness techniques who might just be beginning their workout journey to potentially injure themselves by rushing through the exercises.
Appreciate the concern regarding this Nico. I can assure you that I have done this warm up thousands of times with my clients of many ages and fitness levels and I have not seen any injuries resulting from this. Of course, it is impossible to make a video that perfectly accounts for the fitness level of every single viewer that is watching, but the speed of the routine can always be adjusted on the settings on the video. I always encourage slow, controlled, full range on motion with all of my strength exercises with clients, but during a warm-up like this it is meant to be more dynamic and flowy. Hope that helps to answer your concern!
Sorry to hear that you didn't find it to be helpful Rachel. It seems that most people will follow along exactly with the video playing on a screen infront of them until they have it memorized. Everyone has different preferences though 🤷♂
I got into running within the last couple of weeks and have been lost on what to do for a good warmup and this has been helpful over the last few days! Just wish there was like a beep/cue for the next movement as I do it outside with no good way to prop my phone up!
Definitely a great suggestion, I wish I could edit that in! Can always use a timer app that just beeps every 20-30 seconds and that should work though. Either way, I'm glad you found it to be helpful with your start into running again!
It took me 6 months to repair a shoulder cuff tear and last time I did this I couldn't do the full range of motion now it's 9 months later and that was easy - I make sure I still exercise all my joints every day - it works - thanks 🙏
Sorry to hear that happened to you. I'm not sure if you have any underlying neck conditions that may have led to that occurring, but you should always consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise routines.
this is actually very good and reliable. I'm recovering from an injury which happened because I didn't stretch before working out and this helped me realise stretching is actually very useful. i hope I don't injure again. thank you so much for the tutorial!
You are very welcome! Properly warming up the body before activity is a great way to stave off injuries, especially when you take your joints through a full comfortable range of motion. I hope this routine continues to serve you well!
This has turned into one of my favorite warm up videos. I slow it to .75 speed though 😅 I don’t know why but I like to feel the stretch just a bit longer.
That is quite OK! The nice thing about these kinds of routines is that you can adjust them to your preferences, there is no one perfect way to perform it. Stay active and keep well!
I'm so happy to hear that you found this workout to be helpful. I hope you find the other videos on the channel to be just as useful (and entertaining!)
I’m so grateful to be the first person to comment on this video. I’m also a stretching flexibility and mobility coach and as I was beginning to learn your videos have been an invaluable resource as well as they became some of my first warm-ups and dynamic stretch routines. You are also one of my many influences as well so I just wanna personally say thank you, kudos and I hope to meet one day! 💯☺️🙏🏽🕺🎹
Thanks so much for the kind word Aaron! I'm so glad that you have found my videos to be a helpful resource. Please feel free to connect with me anytime if I can be of any assistance.
You are very welcome! If you perform it carefully and consistently I am confident it will help with your recovery. Coincidentally, my family heritage is Ukrainian, so that it very that is nice to hear that my videos are reaching there!
dude I've been watching your 3 min stretch video before lifting weights and I've come to realize I look literally exactly like you. Very strange thing to see lol
You had me at "cat." One of my cats used to get confused when I did dynamic flexibility exercises and would walk under me and meow when I did Spider-mans. I couldn't help notice you are in the way of the cat a lot, though. Good session.
Thank you, my sis and I are really enjoying this video! Feels great! I am 53 with radiculopathy history and lately experiencing bad leg cramps on the inner leg, I hope this helps. Thank you!
Glad to hear that you and your sister are enjoying the routine! Gently working through dynamic stretches can definitely be beneficial for reducing cramps, so I do hope you do notice a difference over time!
I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with all of that. I see patients suffering with those kinds of things all the time, but I usually need to see people for an assessment before I can say for sure what may be causing the problems. Following along with a video like this should be helpful for alleviating tightness in those areas though: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1YAjbyT0EJM.htmlsi=O7u4i392HTPP2PcX Hope this helps!
This warmup is amazing! I was struggling to find a warmup without someone with their shirt off, just trying to flex on everyone and without doubt I can say that this is the best warmup on RU-vid! (In my opinion) Also I love your dog! Very cute!
