Every year since 2006, young, handpicked, excellent chamber musicians from all over Europe are invited to meet in Zurich to build the Weinberger Chamber Orchestra and prepare for performances in some of the most prestigious and finest concert halls.
The ensemble attracts soloists such as Steven Isserlis, Miklós Perényi, Mischa Maisky, Julian Bliss, Evelyn Glennie and Paul Meyer.
After the time of assembly comes the thorough study of the music in order to develop compelling and thrilling interpretations. These are refined in an intimate and exciting atmosphere together with Gábor Takács-Nagy. The musicians share their passion and celebrating friendships. Participating in the Weinberger Orchestra means recharging the batteries away from the daily routine. Pure music making unites a strong team. This spirit is what makes the Weinberger performances breathtakingly sparkling.
