When it comes to investing in precious metals, it’s not just about the metal itself, but about the company behind it. Lithic Metals understand that reputation, integrity, and craftsmanship are just as important as the product itself.
You can't "make" a new atom of silver. At least not in a cost-effective way. This was a chemical reaction. I used copper to recover the silver from the silver nitrate solution. I refine metals, I can't create them.
if someone told me... "when you grow up you will spend hours watching videos of guys refining precious metals" I never would have believed it... here I am watching you and sreetips all the time
You'd need a wealth of knowledge and equipment to do it properly and safely. It is not recommended for folks to do it at home. The reactions are quite hazardous.
Lol it sure wouldn't be a good idea to send stolen material to me... because I keep good records, and would be happy to report anything out of the ordinary. This goes the same with most refineries.
What percent ratio works generally for 60-70% silver jewellery? How much of distilled walter and Nitric acid would be needed? Should i dilute silver nitrate solution before adding copper in it?
I was wondering why that was dropping so fast. There was also a slight tinge of green on the copper tube that was up against the glass. When I saw that I was wondering if there was still some nitric in there. I'm no expert by any means but Ive done the precipitate process about 10 times now and it always takes a good amount of time and drops a bright white / silver precipitate. Once dry it looks amazing and only pales in comparison with the silver growing in the silver cell.
I started by reading CM Hoke's book about precious metals refining. Then read everything I could about the subject. By the time I started doing the experiments, I was pretty well versed on the subject and hit the ground running. Just to be clear, I don't make gold, I refine it out of the gold others mine.
It's a good question. I cover it in detail in other vids. But in short, in order for the nitric acid to be able to penetrate the gold and put the base metals in solution, the alloy must be apx 25% gold and 75% base metals ( such as silver and copper). Leaving only gold in the end.
Perhaps you may wish to take a closer look at the video. I had to cut it pretty tight to make it only 60 seconds. The full length video is also available
Yes, it's real silver. I used copper to recover the silver from the used electrolyte solution "silver nitrate". I obviously didn't explain it well enough
U can get those off dhgate or allied for a couple bucks along with 5 bands worth of fake ass money. That fake money is absolutely driving business in my area up the freakin wall. They obviously catch em but just the fact u gotta deal with folk trying to pass em off is annoying the hell outta em.
Honestly thought you making some of AZ’s finest peanut butter crank or bathtub crank..whatever u wanna call it but definitely not gold…helluva bar bro…helluva bar!
I bought a bunch of old computer processors from germany One thousand kilograms to be exact And it only cost me two hundred fifty dollars plus shipping I'm still Processing them
