I do both TRAIN and PLANE spotting when able, to the best that I can. I mainly spot at London Heathrow & London City airports and London/UK-based railway stations, however there can be more at times.
Same things happened to be before, I was filming and it was so cold I couldn’t move my fingers. I dunno why I didn’t go home for another hour after that
I remember back in the early 70's, in the days when parents could actually afford to take their children to the seaside for the day by train, there was a special service, which operated during the school summer holidays, via the Sidcup line through to Ramsgate. There was also a special fare which required the outward journey to be made using only this train but passengers could return by any train the same day. This train was so popular that the 10 coach train (usually formed of 2HAP units) was always full.
Fingers crossed that they'll get converted to 768's or 799's. I doubt they will, but it's worth a go. Or even better, export them to another country like the Netherlands.
Looks like there was Guard Mode Activation at Gillingham. I’m glad to see that this journey was onboard a Metro-Cammell 465 as well instead of a BREL one. Keep up the good work.
When the 465/9s were converted from 465/2s, they operated some Main Line Services with Southeastern Trains, probably as the more faster Class 365s had moved to West Anglia Great Northern trains by around 2003ish.
