Family members on both my Mother's and Father's side worked in the Antheracite Mines in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania. I know my mother's Grandfather worked for the John's Eagle Colliery/Herbine Colliery (Later St. Clair Coal Company) after him and his wife moved from Ukraine to St. Clair Pennsylvania during 1918. His son worked for one of the local Antheracite Mines near St. Clair Pennsylvania as a equipment operator before enlisting to the Marine Corps during the outbreak of WW2. I don't know alot unfortunately about my Dad's Grandfather, but from what I was told he also worked at the St. Clair Coal Mine. My one cousin currently works for a company that Mines Antheracite Coal for a PowerPlant in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania. God Bless our Coal Miners🙏
