Completely amazed by all the runs, especially Frictional Unity and Seaside Rush as those were certainly some of the hardest paths to pull off. Also, glad that you were able to resolve the MBG textures issues for this video and you got the TT timer to use the MBG shape :)
holy shit my level is on here Amazing job Nockess, Skyward Blue and a few other levels paths look like it was real difficult to do btw what do you think of my level
Marblemaster1 here! First of all, MAN, watching this brought back so much nostalgia. I can't believe we're coming up on the 10 year anniversary of these levels. I still remember making each and every one of them, and I'm so happy to see that they haven't been forgotten. Sure, not all of them were A+ (I am so, so sorry for Final Obstacle Course), but my aim was to make levels that explored underused concepts and by-and-large I think the project succeeded. To be honest, this whole advent calendar project came into existence pretty much on a whim - I decided on the evening of December 2nd, 2013 - "what if I made a level every day until Christmas?" That evening was spent in Notepad, coming up with a list of concepts for short, experimental, slightly-winter-themed-when-possible levels. My favourite of the pack is definitely Ice Slalom (fun fact, parts of the design were taken from a Barbie movie - having a younger sister can be helpful in unexpected ways), and thus I'm both impressed and sad at how you bypassed it; I may just have to remake it now 10 years later. I'm also quite proud of Origin of Species, Precision Jumping, Essentia Velocitas, and Zero Gravity Field (regardless of whether it's true, I like to think PQ's zero gravity levels were inspired by this one). Overall, great runs, and I can't wait to see what you do next! ~MM1
The level builder side of me really enjoys seeing people playing my levels on videos, but the speedrunner side of me appreciates comments and insight left by authors of levels that I post my runs of even more, so this was super pleasing to read. This pack is one of my favorites out there, some of the individual levels being pretty iconic or recognizable. It was a lot of fun to run these, even some of the less favorable levels in the long run. (Christmas Tree might be the one to apologize for from a speedrunning perspective. :p) Really enjoy your level building creativity, both in this pack and in your other works. I would love to see any remakes or revisits of this project.
