Great video and awesome food preservation ideas that offer a healthy nutritional flavoring options . I also dry celery leaves, they are so delicious and have such a pungent flavor.
At the end of the month, I start my seeds for winter plants: gai lan (Chinese broccoli), bok choy, spinach, Chinese celery (kintsai), daikon radish, bunching beet for their tops/greens.
Doing much better than my garden. My plants look good, but the weeks of 110F to 123F temps stopped any fruit from being set. The only things doing good are watermelons, Golden Delight yellow zuke, and some of the hot peppers. I just noticed that my first 'Indian PC-1' pepper had turned red - this is my go to for red pepper flakes as it is a nice heat without flavor.
Thank you for this video. I just mixed up a jar tonight. I didn't know you are supposed to stir it everyday. I thought you just let it be for 3 days. I'm glad i watched this video & found out i have to stir it everyday, and i have to let it ferment for at least 7 days. THANK YOU. Anxious to taste this 1st time tepache. God's blessings to you & your's. 🥰
This was very educational. I always tend to toss in some seeds, and then the veggies fail. Lol. Maybe I’ll try again. You’ll see in my last garden tour video how much of a failure my raised beds are 😂
@@MaryBornforHealth I planted some beets and some more sunflowers. My garden is a hot mess right now lol! The deer keep eating my roses. I’ll make a video this weekend for you to enjoy 🩷🌹
I have to start my winter veggie seeds in Aug to grow over the winter. Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli) is one of my primary crops. I like it better than regular broccoli, but the sauce I use is an oyster sauce base.
We will not get any significant rain until after Halloween. Last night we had two foxes, a racoon, a skunk, and a cat trigger the video cameras. Two weeks ago I was awarded a gold medal at the State Fair for my Eisbock beer (Strong European Beer category). That puts my medal stack from the last three State Fair competitions to: 4-gold, 3-silver, and 1-bronze.
@@MaryBornforHealth 100F+ is easy to acclimate to when the humidity is closer to 10%, but this 110F+ at 20% isn't fun. We didn't get below 72F two mornings ago. It is 67F at 2:30am so it should keep cooling off this morning. Sleeping has been tough. I took photos of the mercury thermometer and the readings from a digital thermometer with my cellphone.
New subscriber here! I have a channel where I share gardening and more. Love the garden tour! You have lots of pretty flowers. Looking forward to watching your garden grow!
@@MaryBornforHealth You sound like me. I did the garden then the herb garden. I have got part 1 out but still working on part 2. I still have to voice over the garden part 2 . Plus I hope to finish my herb garden work today! Fingers crossed!
Hello, most videos show purple flowers, but where I live I found only with white flowers growing as in your picture. Is it the same medicinal? Please. Thank you.
The flowers range from purple to light lavender. I have not seen the white bloom, however, when I researched white blooming comfrey it did say it was native to northern Europe. I believe all comfrey is medicinal.
@@MaryBornforHealth ohhhh OK. I believe too. I'm in UK . I collected some roots yesterday and lot of lieves. Today was searching some information of. Thank you so much for respond my question.
You are right. Thank you for commenting. I transfer a small amount into a dropper bottle to use during seed starting. I also keep the main portion in the refrigerator.
