Man, his flow and voice was so smooth on relapse. The accents unintentionally worked, despite eminem not liking it in hindsight. Sad that even when he tries to do it like on his rerecording of "is this love" or discombobulated, it just sounds like his normal current voice which can sound stiff at times unfortunately. What made the relapse rap style so unique is that eminem didnt know he was doing it in that monent, until looking back on it. So it may not be easy for him to consciously channel that creative mindset he was in during relapse sessions again. Even when eminem was rapping "normal" on relapse, without "accents", like on underground, it still sounded good.
The apple, careful what you wish for and my darling. I think king mathers could have been fire. I think those 3 tracks were planned... maybe I should check tracklist instead of pulling older leak tracks out of my a$$.
Wow. This version is way different then the og. I don't know if I like it more. In some ways it's better. The beat is cooler but the mixing isn't quite as good.
So, Beautiful, My Darling, and Careful What You Wish For are from the King Mathers album. I'm guessing Elevator is a King Mathers track too, because they're the only tracks on Relapse produced by Eminem.
It’s as if Eminem was like, yeah not good enough to be on an album, but since he no longer raps as good as before he’s lowering the standards. I’ve never been a fan of Discombobulating.
Listening to Em here and then the version we got. I’m so happy he got clean and we’ve got him here sober and hopefully happy and healthy. That’s my childhood hero and I’ve never met him, he has no idea I exist. But when I didn’t have any friends as a kid, Em in my headphones felt like the closest thing to one. So I’m very happy he’s still here. Hope to see him in concert one day. Hope we all get to. We love ya Marshall 🫡
Intro is different, different takes for the verses and a lyric change at the end of verse 2 where instead of "Bitin' the dust it'll just make me angrier" he says "Bitin' the dust it'll just make me crazier" Sounds more like an unmastered version than anything
@@bojanglesmusic yeah it's absolutely an early mix and unmastered version, people listening on poor equipment and not comparing directly to the original song probably won't be able to tell. to my ears this sounds like a much less polished version of the final song.
@@LHMusicCF yeahh, and being a musician myself, I can tell even without earphones when something's mastered and when something isn't. The OG version isn't a big change or anything but it does confirm that it came probably shortly after Recovery and during the Bad Meets Evil Hell the Sequel era
@@bojanglesmusic definitely brother, a lot of stuff like this you kinda have to have an ear for or spend ridiculous amounts of time listening to how something sounds with a slight eq boost vs. without hahahaha. always thought this song was made during the recovery era and good to see i was right!
@@LHMusicCF hell yeah. I will say, just for the hell of it, Em should've kept that little intro he had when he cleared his throat then said yeahh! The way he delivered it, idk why but it's funny to me🤣
