The Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum is located in downtown Plant City Florida home to the popular Strawberry Festival. We display and maintain a very sizable collection of railroad memorabilia, including our best know item, a completely restored Seaboard Air line, no. 5735 Caboose. Adjacent to the museum is our train viewing platform rated by Trains Magazine April 2018 as one of the top 75 places to view trains daily such as CSX, Amtrak and a wide variety of trains. Throughout the year we have big events such as railfest, bike shows, car shows.
Always curious about the squealing of the wheels as it rounded that tight curve, is that the brakes we hear 🤔🤔 I think there is a speed limit going through there right?
James There are a few reasons why this happens, brakes as you mentioned is one cause due to friction between wheels and brakes when they are applied. Also there is friction between the rail and wheel especially when on a curve can cause the squealing.
James Don’t forget to check out our friend Railroad Spike Productions who makes our videos for us. They have a lot of great trains that passed through downtown Plant City and the depot itself.
bonjour de Paris merci pour la vidéo du changement du diamant cela aurait été mieux de faire la vidéo en direct comme pour les travaux identique qui on été fait l'an dernier à Deshler !!
Thank you! The recordings was done by members of the staff and RU-vid’s Railroad Spike Productions who also recorded footage and put it together for us.
