F***! I'm so God damned conflicted with these videos. As a man I Love seeing something truly majestic about sending one of those to the ground, but as someone with compassion at the same time, I want to see something that's absolutely hundreds of years old continue to grow for the seventh son of my seventh son to see.
It’s a cedar, read the description. Also, old growth is a term largely misunderstood and misapplied to big trees. I’ve cut trees 5’ I’m diameter that were less than 100 years old. On the other hand, I’ve cut threes 12 inches in diameter that are over 100 years old. It’s all about forest resource opportunity and growing conditions. The more a tree has, the faster it will grow. Old growth refers to an overall forest stand condition, not a particular diameter or age.
