That's a really nice table, Good job. But I feel compelled to comment on the pretty serious fire Hazard with the amount of saw dust on the floor with piles of extension cords strewn over. Be safe!!
@matteout_woodworking
@matteout_woodworking Месяц назад
I understand. The extension cords are needed. Some machinery can't reach wall outlets. One wall in my shop is a Temporary wall. Plus all the camera lights and cameras are plugged into them as well. As for sawdust. It's hard to keep up with it. My shop has rough surfaced floors which is a pain to sweep. I might epoxy the entire floor one day just to make it flat and easier for maintenance.

Here's a link to the original plans for this bench. It's part of a garden glider plan and the same website sells everything you need to build that glider. www.vieltools.com/produit/plans-et-patrons-pour-balancoire-603

THANKS, do you know if these bases work with the porter cable bushings for the porter cable dovetail template
@matteout_woodworking
@matteout_woodworking 2 месяца назад
@@korrupt4 it uses the round bushing. It's pretty universal for most brands. I think Bosh and Festool are the outliers with their own types. So if your template guide uses the round bushing then it should work. It does come with a bunch of sizes included. It might already have the size bushing you need to use your dovetail jig.

I have used the Vise Grip 11R with the pads for almost 40 years now, and like the Kreg grip have watched those manufactures come and go. Being a retired Sheetmetal I can safely say we have used every clamp known to mankind. and some do work in the wood working hobby. For me I buy the cheapest clamp that is going to work. Esperance has shown they are all going to fail, it's just a question of when. but anyhow great content, keep up the good work
@matteout_woodworking
@matteout_woodworking 2 месяца назад
@@dusty265 I enjoy the Vise-Grip brand of locking pliers a lot. The release mechanism is really nice compared to some other noname brands I've used. I don't shy away from Irwin tools. Most of their tools I have shown me that they work.

Why wouldn't tool pros want you to know about these clamps? That doesn't make sense to me. The video is good. I'm not a fan of the weird click bait title man.
@matteout_woodworking
@matteout_woodworking 2 месяца назад
@@hodgeac I bet Kreg wants you to know about it. They where all over these vids 7 or 8 years ago but now the only people I know that has a pair are people doing this for a living. I think it's a cost thing. They are not cheap so to me to equip yourself with enough of these it would cost alot. 1000$ for a dozen or so

Who are all these "pros" that don't want us to know things? RU-vid seems filles with pro woodworkers who seem more than happy to share their knowledge
@matteout_woodworking
@matteout_woodworking 2 месяца назад
@@riksanders5606 Most youtubers are professional content creators. Not pro woodworkers. Some are pro educators that used to travel from wood shows to wood shows to sell books or lessons. Paul Sellers is a great example. Some make tools and are showcasing their tools. Others are just product shills. Most likely build things for around the house. Have a dozen customers or just sells everything on auction.

Nice video. I have the old style bessey parallel clamps. They are old and tend to jam a lot. I honestly usually reach for my pipe clamps for panel glue ups. I find the parallel clamps great for boxes where having a deeper reach that is parallel is really useful.

About that sales part.... I was trying to find the proper word. What I meant by manipulating I guess it's um.... To advise people and help them towards a decision... I don't believe in or that you can manipulate people. You are not going to be able to make anybody do something they don't like
