Great work, guys! And a really good find. I had a 64 (not a barn door) that I really loved. I wish I still had it. They are just so much fun to drive. Nothing else like it!
Four Boys. A treasure hidden in the woods for years, across a lake! What an adventure! Someone needs a Big Dog though. My folks had a 63 Barndoor, but sadly our salt roads ate it away in 8 years. Can't wait to see more! Thank you for saving her.
How did it end up all the way out there? I wonder if some old hippie has a story about being abducted by aliens and ending up somewhere with no roads!😂
That has to be the tiniest Tirfor-type winch I have ever seen. Looks like a good piece of kit. I have subscribed. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿. P.S. You mentioned using the original electric cabling. If it is rubber-insulated you should replace it with modern plastic-insulated wiring, due to the inherent fire-risk of perished rubber insulation.
Awesome team work on recovering such an iconic WV mini van...I would like to see the entire step by step process from recovery to complete restoration of this car...😎👍🇺🇸
En riktig pärla! Denna barndörr är förvånansvärt välbevarad och har aldrig blivit vandaliserad. Dessutom den sällsynta versionen med lastdörrar på båda sidor. Alla fönster och blinkarna fortfarande inne - bra!
Oops, there goes another rubber tree plant! Somewhere on a remote lake in Sweden someone is wondering what in hell happened to the VW wagon that I spent a month getting up here for my camping spot shelter??? Lol.
Vilket projekt och tänk att sånt finns kvar ute i markerna, och fantastiskt arbete ni genomfört och passande att ni hämtade folkan med en Scania då bägge salufördes av just Scania-Vabis.
blur out the license plates WHY what do you think in your wildest imagination is going to happen... you do realize that 1000's & 1000's of other people on the road can see your plates
Here in Michigan (U.S.A.) our marshes & swampland/lakes equal your areas so we know how difficult a rescue like this can be at times. Alot of Love 💘 and dedication were needed, but well worth the effort in this case. Many thanks to all the men for their time and work saving the òld girl. I bet she never thought she'd see the road again. Thanks for posting this...and good luck on the restoration. 😊
I love old cars....did the bus stand on your own land or did you buy it from someone? If not: did you steal it? At least the area lost one of its famous attractions. So i'm happy and i cry at the same time....
