It's been more than 20 years since PoE and yet animated movies have never reached the high of this scene, the lip trembling at 1:37 has so much meaning to it. The camera pans on Ramses for 15 seconds and you feel what he's feeling: sadness, hopelessness, betrayal, rage. The brother he tought had returned to sit by his side asks him to go against their original teachings and the ghost of his father's memories quickly reminds him of what it is expected of a pharaoh. You know the story, so it's easy to tell what's is right from what's is wrong, but if you put yourself in his shoes you would feel the same as him.
Just to put y’all into an existential crisis for a second… When you think of an old person, would you think of someone born in 1922? Of course! When you think of someone born in 1922, do you think about a 17 year old with their whole life ahead of them? Of course not. Sadly, not many people born in that year are even still here…However, look at the youngest person in the film, Dorothy. Born in 1922. Auntie em, born in ‘76. 1876… yet there they are, in a classic film we’ve all seen hundreds of times. Who’s the stereotypical people who represent old age of today? Someone born in 1942, or 1946? lol either way, those from the ‘40s, born after this film was released are now older than anyone was in this film at the time of filming.
The music at the end is almost saying the return of God to the mortal world and then seeing Moses and his people become sinners... that's why the brutal drama of the soundtrack is the beginning and the end of Judaism.

I finally made the connection after watching this tornado scene🌪️ So Dorothy, who observed the tornado in the 1996 Twister, was named after Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz! I see ◡̈ ꔛ♡
0:56 Yes, folks, that is Clara Blandick doing her own dialogue! One of the sillier rumors told about this movie is that she couldn't yell like that, so one of the Munchkins did it for her. But as anyone knows who saw this lady as Aunt Polly in the movies _Tom Sawyer_ and _Huckleberry Finn,_ that yodel-like call is all Blandick! 🙂
