I'm Irish, I can't believe I'm looking at another of this type of incident. When are the department going to stop sending ordinary officers in soft skin vehicles to arrest people like this. SWAT should be used in these cases, there are speciilist officers, with athe proper vehicles and equipment.

Move over laws are stupid. How about moving your pirate operations off the freeway and secondary roads to safe locations. Police are supposed to be about public safety yet they put you and themselves in danger when making these armed bandit strong arm stops on busy roads.

People who say to police, "that's what they signed up for", are completely ignorant. That would be equivalent to saying that a person who is a victim of a deadly crash from a drunk driver "signed up for that" because they knew of the possibility of a drunk driver crashing into them and killing them after they chose to drive on public roads.

i watched a video from Arkansas SP where the police had to watch oncoming traffic because they were in the lane arresting a driver and cars were still flying by them, less than 5 feet away. very few moved over and all were still at highway speeds. pathetic.

Yes, people should move over. Also. Stop pulling people over for going 2 mph over the speed. And cops are now pulling people over for going 5mph under the speed LIMIT. Giving dui's to completely sober people too blowing 000.
how about not stopping anyone on the freeway, there's really no time to react especially in hilly/curvy areas, by the time I try to move over I'm already past you and as for slowing down, dude it's a freeway If i slow down I'll either get rear ended or cause a pileup, people are literally bumper to bumper in all lanes at 85mph! THERE'S NOWHERE TO GO!
Not being a smartass, BUT.... Didn't he start off this story with the two officers in the first car got out and walked back to the second car??? And now it's attempted murder charges?? Unoccupied means nobody was there.. I'm beginning to question his story,.
That’s not being a smartass, that’s being an absolute dumbass. They said that the officers were just in the process of exiting their vehicle to go back to the second car when the gunfire started. It was also clearly described that the injured officer was still at the car that was shot up
Unfortunately, lots of cops will make YOU look just like that car when the shooting frenzy starts....and they are supposedly NOT on drugs or supposedly crazy.

The police should be able to determine where gun shots are coming from or get another job. They had no business stopping at someone else house asking information about him and that might be what set him off. Now everyone on that block know who the snitch is. That officer just told us to call them in road rage situations but when they came to arrest the guy, they laid on the ground while being shot at for over 5 minutes. What kinda help would that be??? And supposed he didn't stop shooting, then what???? Because im not so sure they could've handled it.
You’re making a lot of assumptions and jumping to conclusions with clearly no understanding of the situation. They didn’t stop at somebody’s else’s house to ask about him - they weren’t knocking on doors, they stopped up the street and spoke with somebody who happened to be outside their house when the officers stopped. it would’ve been absolutely idiotic for the officers not to take the opportunity to possibly get more information on the person who they were about to approach. And maybe you watched too many movies, or maybe you didn’t take a look at that police car, or maybe you’re dumb enough to think that it’s a good idea to leave cover when actively being shot at. What good do you think it does anybody for a cop to poke their head out from behind cover and get a bullet in the brain? He said call police don’t engage the violent lunatic - and you have a problem with that? You think this would’ve ended better if people tried to deal with it themselves rather than calling police in this instance? That’s absolutely idiotic. And if he didn’t stop shooting, he would’ve been taken out by another officer, because that’s another advantage of having police deal with it - they can call in back up. Heavily armed back up. When you're out dealing with the people you don't know what to expect and that's what you should always remember that you never expected something like this to happen because it will happen and even worse but look at law enforcement how they have brought their name to be trigger happy cops that's committed murder in it's gotten away with violent acts and has not been trained very well
