Great video! Leaving to do this in a month and this is by far one of the best videos out there. Odd question though, what brand are Katherine’s blue sandals/shoes? Thanks😎
I am going there next week. Just like this video. 1w kayak camp. How did you handle camera batteries? I think no electricity to charge camera batteries.
Thank you for the information, very helpful in our planning! May I ask how advance did you book the rifugios? Is the bus running from Belluno to Lago di Braies frequently? Starting from Belluno to Lago di Braies by bus then hike to Rifugio Fodara, 11km, able to finish in a day?Thank you!
Don’t know if you still follow this, but we are doing the same trip, same rental company and staying at Hotel Salmeyer. We are camping thought- in our 70’s- we’ll see. We were thinking of staying two nights in Krems to explore the Wachau more and riding from Krems to Hotel Salmeyer on the last day, and not staying in Tullin. What would you think of that- is tullin worth a night stay. Thanks for the video- it has been very helpful!
Bravooo!⛷️⛷️- I am very impressed👏👏👏 Hope you all liked Norwegian nature and the mountains on the trip😊 Rondane National Park is our oldest, but you probably know that😉 2:03
Well done. I have done some of these trails at night during my military service with the 10th. Mountain Division. On some parts, the mule train would carry the mortars, ammo, and food for us.
Hello, thank you for the great video. We are in the planning stages of same trip. Did you compare costs of bike and barge company vs booking your own accommodation, meals and bike rental?
Great job. I enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing it with us. One question: "did you use a self guided company for your trip, or plan it yourself"? If you use a company, may I ask for the name of your tour company? Thank you.
We organized the trip by ourselves. In that I mean we booked all the hotels ourselves. The bikes were rented in Passau from a bike shop. Their website is fahrradklinik-passau.de. Bikes were excellent. Got paniers and front bags and paid extra for the drop off in Vienna. Hope you have a great time.
Hi great video! were planning to be in the dolomites by early June also. would just like to ask when was this video taken? early, mid or end part of June?
My husband and I are dreaming of hiking at least part of this trail, but we’re in our mid 60’s. We do hike and walk a lot, but are a bit intimidated by the trek! Do you think we could do it? It looks so incredibly beautiful! Thanks for any replies everybody
We were there about a week later, the end of May. We boarded the Theodor Kormer river cruise cycle tour in Passau and toured through the same area. Loved it.
Three trips to the island over 20years starting in the 80s one with the university of Oregon outdoor program and two private trips all trips were mostly inside the first trip was mostly long paddles as under estimated distances .chartering a sail boat worked well on the second trip and zodiacs carrying kayaks down to rosé harbor was perfect for last trip. All alone stone i will remember you
Outstanding video. The scenery is just breathtaking. I am doing the same trip this year. I was wondering about photo equipment. Did you use primarily your phone camera, or did you also use a dslr?
Thanks for watching! I use both a Smartphone (Samsung S23) and a digital camera (Nikon Z6II 24-200mm). I find that both cameras are a great combo for taking photos and movies and perform complimentary functions. Smartphone for quick photos and movies of people and activities. Camera for telephoto and landscape photos and hidef movies. And when it rains, the smartphone always wins!
Thanks for watching! We were on the move every day, so all the hikes were around the campsites in the late afternoon weather permitting. So, none of them really stand out. In retrospect, the Wind River really needs three weeks of time so that there are plenty of layover days for exploration.
For some reason RU-vid served up this video to me. And I watched the whole thing imagining myself doing the same trip. I confess I also had a crush on Katherine after the first video. But I still enjoyed the boys cycling trip to Italy video, so maybe also a crush on Mr Muskox. I've now also seen your videos on the Via Alta and Vietnam. I love the gypsy swing in some videos and modern music choice to accompany the Vietnam video. And your slideshow/video editing choices. Thank you for being intrepid travellers rather than travel 'influencers'.
Hello, we are planning to go also in june and I read that there is possibilities of lot of snow in june. What is your experience with snow? Was there any snow or not? Thank you:)))
hi, thanks for posting! we have a trip from Ruby Ranch down to Spanish Bottoms mid-May... would you have GPS coordinates of your campsites to share? I know the tamarisk will be a problem. we did from Mineral Bottom down to SB 9 years ago... I know the water level will be much higher in the Spring...
@@muskoxman5588 we just had 2 of our 5 couples drop out (good reasons), so we are scrambling to fill their slots, or else go with 3 boats... thanks for the coordinates!
