How did you attach aimpoint 5000 on Free world armory Colt 723? Do I need to config or download others mod? (I already downloaded CUP and Free world armory)
Should be noted that the 9x19mm Beretta 92FS, designated M9 in military service, began to replace the M1911A1 during this time and had all but completely replaced the latter in regular units by the early 90's, with only select units still carrying it by the time of the 1991 Gulf War. Also in the late 80's the US began introducing the Individual Integrated Fighting System (IIFS) to replace the old ALICE load-bearing equipment, which consisted of a series of chest rigs to allow soldiers to carry their gear on their torso instead of around their waist. The most common variant being the LBV-88 which consisted of four rifle magazine pouches holding a total of six 30-round magazines and two grenade pouches. The LBV-88 mated with a standard pistol belt via a series of loops at the bottom, which soldiers would hang extra gear on the belt such as canteens, medkits, and a pistol holster if they were authorized to carry a sidearm.
I was looking to join the group but do you guys also do a liberation server/ops, I didn't dive too much to see if y'all did, I'm sure seeing this gets annoying from time to time but I'd like to be apart of something like that, and I'm not here to be super milsim and be like yes sgt no sgt, I'm already in the army and just wanna shoot up things in a somewhat tactical sense while also being relaxed
@@_scarecrowitagun_651 Hi scarecrow. We are a milsim unit, but we don't expect real military etiquette, it's a game and we treat it as such. We do at times have a liberation server, but not lately. We run ops every week on alternating friday and saturday.
@@beachhead85 I put in an application and I meet the requirements, however I'm just waiting to get back from this training rotation to officially start the process
Been working on a short horror story that involves soldiers set in 1986. While I'm fairly familiar with Nam era equipment and WW2, I'm severely lacking in knowledge from this time period. Funny enough I actually searched RU-vid for this exact information and never found this video, yet days later RU-vid reccomended it to me. Anyways thanks a ton for this, I really appreciate it. You should have a much larger sub count and reach, I'm going to my best to help out. Cheers from Finland.
I honestly think of 1970ish-1982 Og-107s and woodland camo are both nice, m1s are nice, the early 80s have a nice combo of the woodland camo and vietnam era stuff
I was in from 1986 to 1994 in the infantry. NOBODY seemed to ever use the flack jacket. Nobody called it the PASGT, either. We just called the helmet our Kevlar. Only times I can remember wearing the flack jacket was when I fired two TOW missiles.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am fairly certain that Delta Force operators were also seen wearing Pro-Tec helmets during Operation Niffty Package in Panama in 1989.
Deltas also used those helmets into the early 90's, including Operation Gothic Serpent in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993. They were the first so-called "bump" helmets to be used in the Special Forces community.
I did like this video, however I wish you had gone more in depth about the og107 uniforms such as the different types of utility and jungle uniforms and the different camouflages used besides erdl, I also wish you had went into the marine corp's field cap, lastly I wish you had gone into the footwear such as the jungle boot, corcoran jump boot, and the macnamara boot, other than that good video
Cool. My grandpa was a helicopter pilot. He was shot down once and waiting like a day for another chopper to rescue them. He retired a master chief. I miss my grandparents.
